New Trent Bluetooth Receiver V4.1 Wireless Audio Adapter with Hands-Free Calling and Stereo Jack for Home and Car Audio System

Just got this in the mail and boy is it small. I was looking to have something quite a bit larger but it's about 2 inches square in size. Hooked it up to my iPhone and plugged in the audio cables that came with it to my speaker jacks and played music via Bluetooth and works great. Now I need to take to my car and plug the aux cable from my radio into this device. I need to put a small piece of Velcro on the back of this and to my dash to hold into place and also plug the power connector (included) from my USB charging plug. All of my other devices that do what this does are so large and this is perfect. Everything that I have purchased from NuTrent have been above others and the prices are great. I would def recommend this if you are looking for a way to play from your Bluetooth device to either your aux port in car or to your home stereo system. Just put into my car which I will leave all the time and when I plugged the aux cable from my car into it and turned on it works just great. No distortion in the sound at all. I just ordered another one to have in the home to hook up to my stereo system.

My daughter's car does not have bluetooth built in, and I have been concerned about her making phone calls while driving. I have wasted a lot of money on bluetooth devices for my own cars over the years and never used any of them after very brief trials. They were either too difficult to use while driving, lost pairing, did not have enough volume, etc. This one seemed like a better solution than those. My daughter is not a tech geek, but she had no trouble setting this up in her car and pairing it with her phone. Call quality seems great, and she is very happy with it. Me, too!

I use this device for most of my music now that my phone lacks a 3.5mm jack. It also works great to solve the Echo Dot dilemma. If you want to connect your Dot to a receiver or sound system, you need to keep the sound system powered on 24/7 or you won't hear Alexa's replies. For awhile I just pulled the 3.5mm cord out of the Dot when I wasn't using it. Then I moved the Dot and it required me to run a long 3.5mm cable across the room. With this device I can just tell Alexa to pair to it and I'm good to go when I want to use my speakers. I liked it so much I bought a second. The first device stays connected to my stereo and the usb power 24/7. The other device comes with me when traveling and I use it anywhere that requires a headphone jack.

Purchased based on the glowing reviews to hook up to my home stereo system, but am sending this back b/c it just did not perform as I had hoped. First of all, the bluetooth range was dismal. Tried streaming music from several phones, and the connection was coming in and out past 10 feet. The volume of the unit was also very low. Compared to other bluetooth receivers that I have personally tried - this one had the lowest volume. Lastly, it had problems staying connected to my son's phone - though he doesn't have any issues with other bluetooth devices. When it did work - it was ok, but there are better options out there.

I was looking for a cheap easy way to stream Spotify over my main stereo system until I am ready to purchase a new digital ready receiver. This little rascal does the job perfectly. It's Bluetooth, which means the fidelity will never be as good as some of the other more expensive solutions available but did I mention it's $10?This thing is SMALL! About 2" square and about 3/8" thick. Completely unobtrusive.If you are looking for a quick, easy way to start streaming music via Bluetooth then this product is for you!

I'm very pleased with the operation of this bluetooth receiver. I've used it both at home and in my vehicle, but it's ended up being primarily used for mobile operation. It connects easily with my phone and hasn't lost a connection yet. I had used a Himbox before, but I had to almost yell for anyone to hear me. The microphone in this unit is considerably more sensitive and I can talk at a normal level. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the unit.

Unfortunately, this did not work for my application: although the sound quality was excellent, pairing required physical proximity at each pairing, which meant it is only suitable for "table top" use when the user is able to push the device button before each use.In my case, I had two different uses that were a no-go: as a permanently connected BT receiver for my amplifier (which is hidden in a closet) or as a permanently connected BT receiver for my car audio. In each case, the NewTrent receiver powers itself down after a period of non-use (which made it unsuitable for the closet amplifier) and would not automatically reconnect when power was re-started (which made it unusable for the car).Here's hoping that my suggestions to them will result in a revised future version, because the sound quality really was excellent.

I plug a 3.5mm audio cable into my car stereo's AUX IN jack, and the other end into the stereo jack on this Bluetooth receiver. Then my phone can be anywhere, even in my pocket or pack, and be wirelessly broadcasting its audio (music, podcasts, etc.) through the car speakers. The flip side is that the microphone built in to the receiver produces muffled sound to the caller/called party on the other end. So for the clearest connection, go ahead and use your handset's mic.
