Bought for reading in a play setting, I had anticipated this really only appealing to our younger children, but was pleased to be proven very wrong. The first time I started reading it I started with an audience of two - a three and four year old. By the time I'd got to the end, I had an audience of fifteen, aged between three and eleven, and every single one wanted us to start again as soon as we'd got to the end. Whereas our younger children did believe that they were causing the images to change, the older ones obviously understood that this was not the case, but that didn't detract from their enjoyment of it. They enjoyed predicting and even knowing what was going to be on the next page! Since its first outing it (and the simliar 'Mix It Up' by the same author, which we got at the same time) have been requested at every single session and what I, as someone running a play setting, have particularly enjoyed seeing, is the pleasure the older children are getting from being the ones reading it to their younger playmates. They have even tried making their own versions to share. I suspect we're going to end up having to buy several copies of this, and I suppose the best recommendation I can give is that we'll be very happy to do so!

This is such a great book that we’ve bought more as gifts. Such a simple idea but a fab way to encourage little one to engage with books. There’s others by the same author that are fun too. This board book is just perfect even years later now our children can read it themselves they still enjoy it.

I bought this book for my daughters first birthday. I honestly couldn’t be happier, I’ve gone through the book a couple of times myself now and it’s so funny and interactive. Such a fun way of teaching a toddler cause and effect and encourage them to stay focussed. This one will definitely be a favourite in the reading corner for some time to come, genius. Item arrived on time and was well packaged. The overall look of the book is deceiving as it’s honestly the best one of the shelf now.

A great little book

I love this book, I'll admit that it genuinely entertains me as a grown adult, and the kids I have read it with have really enjoyed it (ages ranging from 1-3 so far)

I read amazing reviews of the book and I probably was more excited than my 2.3 year old about this book. And I sure am not disappointed. Its an beautiful, colorful, give-wings-to-your-imagination kinda book. The dots do amazing things - increase, change color, move to one side of the book, etc. The instructions accompanying the pages and simple and clear. But that said, this book did not engage my 2.3 year old a lot. He calls in the 'Dot book', but he loses interest at about page 4 or 5. Also while the cover is a hardcover, the pages inside are glossy and relatively thin. My independent 2 year old wants to turn them on his own and I am not sure it will withstand this assault. I have kept this book aside for now, and plan to reintroduce it when he is about 2.8 years. I am pretty sure he will love it.

Es un libro maravilloso, interactivo, que enseña a los niños y les divierte mucho. El nivel de inglés es bastante asequible y no tiene mucho texto (quiza dos o tres frases cada dos hojas). Encuadernación y hojas de buena calidad con imágenes muy realistas que parece que han sido pintadas por un niño. Lo bueno de los libros en inglés es que de vez en cuando Amazon pone ofertas estupendas, yo le compre en una de ellas. Tanto a mis hijos como a todos los niños sus han visto el libro les ha encantado. Una forma divertida de experimentar poco habitual. La historia empieza con un punto que debes de pulsar y a partir de ahí el punto irá cambiando de color, de forma, de número.... Os dejo un vídeo porque creo que es la mejor manera de que veáis el interior. Tenéis versión en castellano y también otros parecidos como "colores" del mismo autor. Espero que os ayude la opinión!

As a kindergarten teacher, I sometimes bring in my own books to class for storytime - this being one of those books. My personal class ranges from 2-4 and they absolutely love this during storytime, as all 18 of them can intereact with the story while still sitting down. While I definitely wouldn't leave the book to the children as the inner pages would be ripped, the cover is pretty sturdy! I've even read it to the older kids in the kindergarten and they still really enjoy the interaction in the book.

Based on the stellar reviews, I bought this book for my 2-year-old son. I didn't necessarily expect him to enjoy it yet because aside from a few classics, it takes him time to warm up to new books. He absolutely loved this book from the first time we read it. It is now his go-to book. The interactiveness of the book is fun and creative and engaging. Overall, amazing book. I highly recommend it.
