Not as thick as the real mccoy but does the job.
We have several young dogs in the house- potty training! My old Shamwows are pretty worn out so I ordered these because they were a bulk pack and we got a lot of pee-peers. They work fine, actually think they work a bit better after washing. Best to hang dry them, putting them in the dryer with a dryer sheet makes them lose absorbency. Generous size, so I have been folding them to make more of an absorbent pad.
