By Kenneth S. Krane: Modern Physics Second (2nd) Edition

This product is obviously better used in a Modern Physics college course context. That being said, the material is fascinating and this textbook does it justice. There are detailed examples to illustrate all the points made by the authors, and plenty of exercises to test your understanding of the material. This is a great book for instructors looking to teach Modern Physics, and great for neophytes who just want to learn about the subject.Keep in mind that a strong background in mathematics is not required to follow this. More numerically detailed options are available but they are more technically difficult.

"Like new" doesn't mean there's writing inside the book. At least it was the right book. The book content itself is pretty difficult. It assumes you either have a decent initial understanding of physics or that you can very quickly comprehend what it puts forth.
