Great savings
I have a older Snorkel boom lift which the parts are not in stock anymore. I took a chance on these joy stick switches and the work great. My old switches we're rusted beyond repair and the contacts corroded so bad I couldn't get power through them. Water was getting through the rubber boots on the joy stick. The new units have a high quality boots. Also I found a person on e-bay that had a old used switch like the ones I had and wanted $375. These joy stick are doing every thing I want them to do.

Very nice product
My only complaints are:1) the threaded shaft could be a bit shorter. It is that ultimate balance of too much on the top side with little from the bottom, or no way to have two threaded nuts to "stop" the top portion from being too far out.2) The wiring could be easily simplified using plug n clamp style instead of the screws on the side, which cause an issue concerning width and proper placement in tighter spots. One could simply have the plugs at the bottom base, rather than using the screw hold downs on the side which...with the wires connected, add more girth for an already tight space.3) figure out a better way for the rubber handles to mount to the controller because again, if there is not a whole lot sticking through the top, it is hard to thread the rubber properly onto the base controller.4) A base plate would have been nice, even one with perhaps directional arrow Leds. I am going to make my own, but it's something to think about.5) No stick motion limit. If you use the 4 way just as a two way, it would be nice to have the drop in lock out of the directions you are not using. Let's say I only have it wired for up and down. The directional limitation plate would only allow up and down motion. No left or right. The sticks themselves, have a nice action when moving them in either directions and I love the quality of the rubber handles. If you buy these, you also have to buy the relay control boxes to make these work as they should.

Arrived almost instantly, even overseas
We ordered a couple of these to be sent to our lab in Asia for testing. They arrived incredibly quickly, a couple days.So far they look very solid.YES, they DO HAVE a "+" metal trap. This is as it should be. So, it is impossible to go in a diagonal direction, only the correct four ways. The photo shows the large bolt or collar which you screw down to tighten to whatever you are mounting it to.

Dont forget the relays
It works great. Has a positive feel while using.

NIce joystick
If I still had my manlift this would have made the control box more reliable, it had paint all over the top, and the wires underneath always needed to be jiggled.. I would guess that's the intended use. I'm actually going to use it for an ONVIF camera PTZ control panel. I have these other joysticks made for Arduino/Raspi and they're not very good and this will breathe life back into this half done project of mine.
