Great fire axe for the price
So just pulling this out of the box, the blade is very sharp, which I love, many times you buy an axe or hatchet and have to sharpen it, one issue I have is a little spotiness on the paint, but it’s nothig a little TLC and some pint cannot fix, it feels sturdily built, one thing to keep in mind is that you may have to sand and oil the handle depending on preference, but overall a very nice axe for not a whole ton of money

Delivered With A Chip In the Head
Not sure if it was shipped with a chip in the head, or if it happened in shipping. Have to try to file this out though.

Good axe head. However...
Taking it out of the box was a treat, the head was pretty decently sharp and effective. After about the tenth swing with it, the handle just split apart. Now I’m not particularly savvy with axes but after a perfect swing, I was more than a little disappointed she fell apart on me (or maybe I’m just morbidly unlucky). In summary, I’d recommend using this axe till she starts slipping, then get her refitted with a different handle. Fantastic axe head by the by.
