Very pleased indeed with the quality of this shower unit and it works perfectly. Don't let the price make you wonder if it's good enough because it is. I had to return a similar shower unit last week as a part was missing and no instructions for back up, at about £40. We don't have a thermostatic bar but I attached it to my existing mixer tap as we have enough pressure in the system. Instructions were supplied in the form of a technical drawing showing you how it's put together. You dig out the black part in the top bracket and screw into the wall, then attach the bracket with the riser in it with little screws x 2. Next dig out the white mounting unit from the bottom bracket and fix to the wall then twist in the 2nd bracket. The rest is easy, just screw on the shower rain head (you can adjust the angle with the ball head) and x 2 hoses inserting all the washers and just make sure the connection coming from your mixer tap goes to the front valve for the pressure and the handset hose goes to the back valve. Metal parts: the riser rod, and hoses with their metal collars and plastic parts are the rain shower head, hand set, x 2 brackets and valve to alternate between the rain head and hand set with brass mechanisms inside. The plastic parts were good quality and looked like chrome. So in summary, a good piece of kit, which arrived in a couple of days, looks the part and excellent value in comparison to other sellers on Amazon. I had a gentle rain shower this morning which was lovely... happy days!
