The Doorbell Rang

Great book! My pre k children love this book. The pictures are nice. The storyline etc.

This book is the best! Not only does it foster mathematical thinking in children, but it promotes Grandma as the best cookie maker! If I don’t have a “enornous tray of cookies” in hand when I go over to my 3 year old grandson’s house, I make sure that I knock. That doorbell means cookies!

I used this books to introduce division in my classroom. I will use it again when we get to fractions.

My students love this book!

Perfect for introducing division in an elementary classroom. I read it through once, while the students listen. During the second reading, they begin drawing the division problems as they appear. They work together to complete the pictures and show the correct algorithms.

My kids love the simplicity of the story, the great graphics, and I personally love the message around sharing what you have with others. A true value buy.

Our Granddaugters loved this book when they were little ones! "And the doorbell rings"....

A wonderful book about sharing and equality.

Who like cookies? All of us! Who wants to share their cookies! No-one. This is a great (short) tale where two children have SIX cookies each and the number dwindles as the doorbell rings and rings again and more children arrive ready to share. Funny and lively, I have had great success using this in a primary class when introducing division. There are lots of sample lessons online.
