Kitchen Supply Heavy-Duty 9-Inch Locking Tong, Stainless Steel

I bought it for its one hand locking/unlocking feature and I wasn’t disaappointed. I wasn’t too happy though with the slippery handles unlike some other tongs that has an added hard rubber that prevents slippage. I applied electric insulation tape which helped. I would have preferred that I didn't’ have to do this to begin with.

It took over a month for this item to arrive. They certainly weren’t worth the wait. They are not “heavy duty.” They are very cheaply made. The finish is poor and the edges are sharp. I’m pretty sure they will rust in the dishwasher, though I haven’t tried them yet. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Self-locking (or one-handed locking) tongs are oddly hard to find. I was looking for a set to replace the pair that I've had for ~15 years (which still work well, but have some rust on the internal spring). I wanted a replacement in case my existing set stop working. These tongs are almost identical in form and function. I took one star off because there is a bit of looseness in the hinge, which allows the tongs to move side-to-side a bit more than the last pair.

Bought a pair of these in June 2021 - great tool... heavy gauge stainless steel, gravity-driven one-hand lock and unlock.... like them so much I decided to get a second pair.What arrived was a total piece of.... the metal is so thin I can bend the ends with two fingers. Instead of the gravity-lock it has a slide ring that requires both hands to lock and unlock that toolWhat happened..?!?!Started a refund claim and Amazon didn't even want them back... going straight into the trash.

Debated awhile on replacement tongs. Ended up ordering these from Kitchen Supply Wholesale and am very happy with our purchase.Love the single-handed lock/unlock feature. Unlocks with a slight squeeze while tongs are pointing down and locks with slight squeeze while tongs are pointing up. Easy and fun to use. Smooth stainless steel edges and functions the way tongs are expected to.Even though these were from 3rd party seller these arrived well packaged and 3 days before the expected arrival date. Very happy with our purchase!

Advertised as one-handed operation. The product photo is indeed a one-handed style but the product I received is totally different and it is made from a very thin flimsy material

Poor construction, rough on edges, far more flexible / floppy than a stainless steel tong should be.

They work well. They lock closed so that they aren't always flopping all over in my utensil container. They are stainless. I hope they come back soon as I was going to get 6 more for my kids and myself.
