Change
If you do something for two weeks, it becomes a habit, if you do something for a month, it will change who you are. Ben Connelly offers some practical ways to change your eyes, your heart, and your mind. By seeing the world differently you will want to interact with it differently. The book is written in a devotional style so that by focusing on God's word and personal challenges every day your heart beings to soften and change towards those who may not be like you. Then you will begin to see those around you as people not projects. And then finally, you will begin to day dream, to explore, and think about new innovative and creative ways to share your joyful for love in a nonthreatening, nonjudgmental, meaningful way.I loved this book not only because of the deep insight it offered but also because it became a resource with 101 ways to actually DO what it challenges you to do. I know through the stories that Ben is living this out ion his community and hopes to see us all live it out. In a world that is being flooded with the term missional, Ben takes that term and makes it come alive in a real, practical way instead of keeping it as a theory.

This resource will serve the Church well...
This is the best resource I've read on the practicalities of how a life lived on mission might look. I am eager to encourage others to read it and hope groups of people will walk through it, with Bibles in hand, as they consider how they'll live on everyday mission. If "Total Church" is a look at the theological foundations and big-picture view of what a missional church might look like, this "Field Guide" helps us get a look at the practical implications of that theology and philosophy. This book is perfectly formatted for equipping your church groups to take steps into mission in their everyday.

Authentic and insightful.
A practical, well-written guide by authors who have clearly lived what they have written. I appreciate the examples and insights offered throughout the book, especially the chapter titled "People are not projects." I think lifelong, church-going followers of Jesus, as well as those new to the path, stand to learn a great deal from "A Field Guide for Everyday Mission." Highly recommend.

A practical book written on good theology
This is a very good book written in practical terms (without being theologically shallow) on how God intends the gospel to spread- not from the pulpit to the pew, but from person to person! It’s full of both simple and profound ways to put yourself as a Christian into the mission field God has planned for you.

Great primer
For those new to the missional conversation, this book is an excellent introduction to the subject, complete with examples on how to live out the missionary life God calls all Christians to live.

Not what I expected
This book may be helpful to some individuals new to the concept of reaching out with the Gospel, but I found it very elementary.
