I usually go for the regular Yakult, but I gave the Light version a try to cut back on sugar and calories. It’s actually not bad at all. The flavor is still that smooth citrusy Yakult taste, just a little less sweet. Still refreshing, and still something I can drink every day. Each bottle is only 25 calories, so it’s easy to fit into any diet. I drink one a day and it’s a quick way to get probiotics without thinking about it. The value is decent, especially when you buy in bulk or find deals. It’s also super functional if you’re someone who doesn’t like taking pills or mixing powders. You just grab a bottle and go. After living in Japan for a year as a teenager, I was thrilled to find Yakult here in the States. It's a great way to get a unique probiotic strain, the taste is great, and it's less than $3 a five-pack (on sale, which it appears to always be). It's got a tangy-sweet flavor, and I personally think that the light version tastes at least as good, if not better, than the OG. I buy at least two a month.
