There are so many reviews saying that this dress is nicer than the price suggests, that I decided to give it a try. Quality-wise, I would be thrilled with this dress for a themed work party or Halloween costume. However, I needed this for a 1920s wedding and it seemed a little on the cheap side. Of the three Amazon 1920s dresses I got though, this one was my favorite. The gold pattern is really distinctive and I didn't see anyone else with the same dress at the wedding. And it was clear that the majority of ladies had found their 1920s dresses on Amazon as well. Ha.The other issue the dress had was similar among all three Amazon dresses I tried. The front and the back of the dress are EXACTLY the same. There is no front or back of the dress. If you are model-like in shape (not a lot of curves) this might work out fine. I have an hourglass figure though, and I found that the dress stretched around my hips and butt, and created an unattractive pocket of saggy fabric at my lower back. If you have an hourglass figure, I'd suggest sizing up for a very loose, flappery look. That might minimize the issue.

Much better quality than I expected. Looks really nice on, very slimming and easily a formal. It did run about 2 sizes too small. I usually wear a 14 in pants and ordered an XL, and it fit like a size 10/12. The black lining underneath was really hard to pull down and get it to where it needed to be, and it didn't line up very well. However, it is really pretty and looks very nice on. Plus, I want to wear it so badly that it is a great motivation to lose enough weight to be able to wear it confidently. This dress would turn any mans head and make any woman green with envy. It is timeless and classy, looks very expensive.

This dress is amazing. And for the price it looked as good or better than some of the more expensive dresses I tried. I wore this to a company banquet and received so many compliments. The dress is very stretchy and hugs your curves well. I ordered an XL and it ended up being very big so I exchanged for a medium. The only complaint I have is that the dress is super long. I had to wear 3+ inch heels to keep from stepping on it in the front while walking.I am 5'7" and about 170 at the time I wore this dress

If you normally wear a 6/8 and want a more form-fitting dress, order a small. For reference, my measurements are 38-29-38 and the medium was a bit looser than I'd like! Apart from that, the dress is a good quality for 40 something dollars. There were a few loose strands upon arrival (easily snipped) and a tan, unbeaded seam on both sides of the dress from armpit to waist. I like how the cut allows me to wear a normal bra. It is SO TALL/long. I'm 5'4" and have to wear 5-6" heels!

I purchased this for an even called "Sparkle Party" and it worked perfectly! It was very beautiful, the sequins wrap all around the dress, not just the front. Very flattering for my hourglass figure. I'm 5'9" and 190lbs, and the large was a teeny bit big on me. I wouldn't wear this to a fancy event or anything, but it was perfect for a dark club, and super flashy, which is just what I wanted!

The dress is very pretty and comfortable! I hear that it ran small, so I ordered a medium (8-10). I usually wear between a 6 and an 8 and the dress fit as I expected a size 8 to fit on me! A little on the loose side, but it still looked great. I am 5' 3" so the dress was long on me, even in heels, but overall , I loved this purchase.

Ultimately I think this dress would be perfect for any 1920's themed event and would be comfortable to wear for an entire evening. Unfortunately it won't work for me because the silhouette on my pear shaped body isn't great. I'm 5'3",162 lbs, 34 B and usually wear a 10-12 in jeans. I ordered a size Large. It was too baggy in the top area and way too long. Several inches would need to be hemmed off even if I did wear heels with the dress. Otherwise I think it's a great dress!

This dress is absolutely lovely! I went with the medium, but I probably could have gotten away with the small. The material is great quality and I received many compliments on this classy dress. The description says the length is "very long" and I would have to agree with that. I had to hem the dress by 3 inches and I am 5'4. I loved the different materials - the sheer on the bottom and the beads on the top. I would buy it again in a heartbeat.
