Make sure you don’t have Corrosion on the springs I use my wands 5 days a week but you have to watch them when you leave them in the car. Buttons are another weakness

13" end to end (including the handle). NOTE: My handle is not black as pictured. It is orange which I feel is better for visibility. Also, many months after my purchase, I still stand by initial review that these are excellent. I bought several other brands prior to these and was disappointed with the brightness and/or durability. These do the trick and have survived several accidental drops. I use them for traffic direction in low light situations (rain, fog, before sunrise, etc.).
