Impressed and a practical add-on to your car
It's a dash cam and back up camera in one. Use with both or just the dash cam.The quality is perfect and it's great to have for evidence of accident. The back up camera is nice too, but the installation would require some serious DIY skills. I watched a few videos on YOUTUBE and if you install the camera for your car, it will require some time and know-how because unless you route your wiring on the top of the roof of your car, you will have to find a way to open interior panels to hide the wiring. Additionally, you will have to have a port that has the option to do a back-up camera. The install is not the responsibility/fault of the product, but it does require a bit of time and DIY spirit.TIP: if you are mounting to the mirror use the bands to attach more to the left so the camera can be used. That being said, the dash-cam is easy to use and the quality of the imagery is nice. I also like the elegance of the dash-cam looking like a mirror so you can keep you mirror usage. That being said the company could also explore a simple camera mount to the back of your car mirror. It's a good buy for the price.

Long & Sleek
First things first, I apparently don't pay attention to measurements. Which comes into play when I say, I own a Smartcar, if you don't know what that is, look it up. It's this tiny 2 seat, 2 door car. Which means that my rearview mirror is also tiny as hell. When I got this, I saw it and thought oh my gosh I hope this fits in my car. Luckily it does, sort of. It's so long, that I have to be careful with my sun visor since it overlaps each other. But since I live in San Francisco and work in another city, I want to have a dash cam available. I've seen some crazy things happen and I definitely want to be safe. So far testing this out, it's very intuitive. I'm waiting on my SD card to get it rolling though. This was an easy install, it has two bands that will wrap around your original rearview mirror. Setting up the camera is easy, it's defaulted to English and the touch screen UX/UI is pretty simple. Updates to come! So will videos.

Not worth the hassle.
My wife purchased this for me, as I was wanting a dashcam for my long commutes to work, and the near-misses I've had from time to time. I installed this into my 2012 Ford Fiesta without any issues. The cord was plenty long, so I could tuck in under the roof carpet molding edge, down the A pillar, and under the dash towards my center console 12v outlet. It did make the mirror much larger, and caused issues lower and raising the sun visor. (Also, it doesn't have any form of auto-dimming, so enjoy those bright headlights in your face.)It worked out of the box, and I tested and played back footage with no issues. However, less than a week later, it kept randomly turning itself off, then back on, over and over as I drove. I unplugged it. Checked my connections and cable, and everything appeared to be fine. (I even tested the 12v port with other devices, and they had no issues with losing power.) However, the problem has continued with this mirror cam, so I gave up, and tossed it into a box.Spend a few more bucks on something more reliable.

Sister loves it!
I recently bought a similar one of these and my sister loved my moms so much that she wanted one for herself and asked if there was one that wasn’t so noticeable and not one that looked like a camera. After some research I found this. It replaces your existing rear view. It’s a touch screen and turns into a backup screen so you can see behind you. This is pretty awesome. Didn’t take long to install easy set up and looks great. Motion activated and night vision capability. The rear view camera also records it’s just not for backing up.

A wonderful concept - Must for all Drivers
Dash Cam is a now a hot buy! After much research zeroed on this one... Sleek design modern wonderful.Let me tell you the biggest questions I had and the installation helped to me solve my questions -1. Fixing it over my existing car mirror - Its easy the hooks and rubber provided can easily snap it over your existing mirror so no issue. remember if you are planning to hide the wire from mirror to the cig lighter charger.. you are out of luck.. you have to deal with the dangling wire . But it is after market so OK. However the beauty of the product would win over this little problem.2. Easy installation although the manual is not so good. I would request the product company to have some videos .3. I did not try to installl the backup camera because I dont want to play with warranty of my new car. However it is a plus4. Photo/ Video quality awesome crisp and nice!5. Only catch is once the car starts there should have been a button to stop the display this is painful! I am still trying to figure out how to hide the active display and continue recording.P.S. I just installed it in my car, will update more as soon as I have a good trip.

Well-equipt but not an easy set up.
First off, great deal. If you are good with electronics and setting them up - this is well-equipt. However, I think it is too difficult of a setup for the average buyer. The dask cam is an easy set-up (hang, route wire, plug in). The backup cam on the other hand...I didn't even try to set up. The dash cam worked well and I liked it but you can't hide it's recording while driving which is SUPER distracting. The mirror is larger than average which is nice! I can see all my blind spots in it. Overall, 3.5 stars.

Maybe its me...Sigh
No real directions..motion doesn't work well. Have to just have it on all the time. Wont activate with oncoming traffic cuts off after about 10 secs if not forced on...maybe bad set. But with no where to contact really or a real Manuel not sure...not real happy

It only worked for three months
It stopped recording and can not open playback mode to delete old videos I would not recommend this product and too heavy pulled my rear view mirror out of focus.
