Happy Hound HRT-330 Yard Ranger 330 Dog Training Collar with Remote

This leash is beautifully crafted. The leather is top quality and the finishing is also high quality. The metal clasp is likewise good quality and small enough not to distract the dog during training. I found the leash to be pliable right out of the box. I did treat it with mink oil just to keep it looking "like new". It is perfect as a "training" lead. It is comfortable for both me and my American Shepherd puppy. I highly recommend this excellent product.

The leash is advertised as 1/2 inch. Mine was 3/8 inch. The clip is very small and looks cheap. The color is a brilliant beautiful red. Over all Im very dissatisfied with this leash.

I was looking for a leash that was resistant to my puppy chewing it in two when we first start our walks. He chews on the leash when I first attach it to his collar and then for the first 10-20 steps we take on our walk. Then, he releases the leash and doesn't bother it again. We have gone through 4 leashes in a year's time because of this strange habit my little guy has. I really thought that being leather, this leash would hold up better than others made of different materials. Not so. I've had this leash less than a month and already there is a significant split in the leather. I was so hoping this leash would stand up to a bit of chewing because it is really an attractive leash. I am disappointed.

I think this leash is okay. It is really cheap so I can't really expect much but the paint on the leash seems to be cracking and falling off a bit and I really do not like the little metal loop that is near the clip. the leather is also inconsistent in its thickness throughout the leash. That being said, like I mentioned, it is really cheap in price and it does what it needs to do. I removed the little metal loop and am much happier with the leash. I will likely purchase a higher quality leash soon and use this one as a back up. It is entirely possible that I am slightly picky about my dog leash though.

I love this leash. I am a breeder of Miniature Aussies and always have a need for a quick-slip-on leash kept at the door. That was my original reason for buying it ... but I have bought several since then because they are great for puppies just learning to walk on a leash. It is light-weight and you don't have to keep a collar on the puppy all the time. I also use it on all of my adult dogs. The leather is strong enough if I ran into a problem of a dog leaping to chase something unexpected but light enough that it is a delight to walk the dogs on. I wont buy anything else now. Oh... and you can use it as a regular leash connecting to the dogs collar ... or a slip-collar leash...which is what I use on everyone even if they have a collar on.

It's a good looking, high quality leash. The color is lovely as well. It works nicely for my cat when I walk him on his harness. It's the perfect length too.

The LAVIEN leather leash in red is a good lead. Sturdy and well made, this one is great for a small dog like my Chihuahua. It even smells like good leather, but at the sound of repetition with other reviewers, the clasp is not up to the quality of the leather, seems cheap. But it works and the dog pranced around the neighborhood just fine. Four stars...with a better claspmaybe a star jump.NOTE: The manufacturer gave me a leash to try in return for an unbiased review.NOTE ~ NOTE: The manufacturer informed me the clasp is being upgraded in the new batch. Improvement never hurts.
