Product works well and has a lot of features, but initial contact with Customer Service was awful! CSR was unhelpful. Promised Supervisor call back was delayed by the Emergency evacuation near their offices in Garden Grove California. The product has a minor defect. The rubber cover on the collar covering the charging port is too stiff and the rubber broke after 3 months. UPDATE: I received a call back from the Customer Service Manager. The Customer Service Manager apologized for the misinformation from the CSR and sent a replacement part. The collar works really well. I had tried another brand which was very intermittent. Further two professional Dog Trainers have recommended the Dogtra collars as the most reliable on the market. I did suggest that they revise the design of the rubber port cover to make it less likely to break prematurely, and to offer quick release strap options.

I have to admit that I’m not a fan of using electronic collar for training, but I adopted a dog that was very strong headed and the trainer I hired insisted upon it. I will say that the product works extremely well, and has helped to train a dog that seems determined not to be trained. The product is very sturdy, waterproof, and works as advertised.

This Arc collar is amazing! It absolutely helps train your dog. She knows Place very well, and it definitely helps keep her from fence fighting with our next door neighbors' Yorkies. So why 1 star? Because for $240 IT SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 1 WEEK!!! She can tell that we don't have the magic anymore and it is like we never got the collar in the first place. I am Extremely disappointed, but because it worked so well I am getting another because of Amazon's awesome return policy. If that one craps out, then it's on to another brand.

I was hesitant about this purchase for a while. Now I’m really glad I bought it. Good quality and works really well with our German shepherd pup. This is definitely next level training for you and your dog.

Nice collar. Refuses to stay charged. For example, after a full charge we will have it on our dog for a couple days (we remove it in the evening/overnight to give him rest). The next morning we will try to turn it on any its blinking red. We have done this cycle over and over and it has gotten annoying. Otherwise it is an effective training tool and works as advertised.

Expensive but it works very well. Dogs learn commands and when they exert their own interpretation you can correct them. It doesn't hurt them but gives them a gentle reminder.

This is an excellent product. I've got a young husky, that should say it all, but she really has a mind of her own and I didn't want something to punish her I wanted something to teach her to engage her to share time with her. This product gives me the ability to do just that. I can communicate with her non-verbally and verbally to create a connection between the two of us. This is a quality product not like some of the "cheaper" products that you can find. This is a professional piece of equipment that allows the average dog owner the ability to take care of their four-legged family members. I opted for this unit for several reasons the slim fit the fact that it will fit multiple sizes of animals as I have a 110 lb GSD I have an 80 lb Ridgeback and a 60 lb husky after undergoing a four-way bypass surgery I needed something to help me get through to this husky, then I realized I really need to get through to the others so the fact that it has three family member capacity was key in my purchase. I am very pleased and happy that I was able to find this product.

This collar works great. I've used this for about a week now, mostly short range and always within visual LOS. I introduced it with a professional trainer I've been working with. The average dog she's trained responds to "60" out of 127 but it's very dependent on fur type, thickness, and the dog's hardheadedness. My dog responds to 75 because she's stubborn. Once you have a dog responding it makes training a breeze. If they do something you can correct them near instantly and the dog isn't confused about what you are correcting it for like if you yelled from across the room or had to run over and yank on it's pinch collar. Leave it in nick and dial it up just enough to get a response for most dogs. You're not trying to actually introduce pain, just to get their attention enough to correct the behavior (in non-aggressive dogs) My dog LIVES for tennis balls. Neigh impossible to train "leave it" via regular methods. Using this collar it took 3 corrections and now she knows leave it and I was able to apply leave it to tennis balls, people, other dogs, ect without any additional corrections. I also accidentally left it on all night once and it still had plenty of battery power in the morning. I was warned not to leave it on except when using it because the prongs can irritate the skin and if you are training with it for a prolonged period (or say hiking) make sure to rotate the collar periodically so the prongs don't rub on the same spot and irritate it. It only ships with short prongs too. if your dog has extra thick fur you may need to contact the manuf and get longer prongs. The standard ones worked fine on my gshep.
