Good Fan
Fan works great, no problem hooking it up just pay attention to directions if you want to push or pull the air. I bought 2 had to return one because was missing rear casing. When I got replacement, it was also missing. I called manufacturer and that was the "new" design. Had on about a year and they both work great.

Perfect for getting rid of old engine-mounted fans--but with a warning
I've used these several times, mostly to replace failed Behr fan drives on Mercedes. These are much quieter and don't rob horsepower like the viscous drives do--and MUCH less expensive. I've installed them both as pusher and puller, and have never noticed any difference in performance. But make sure you're confortable with the location before attaching the mounts--they're 1-way. And if you need to remove one (like for an engine pull), the replacement mount kits are available.June 15, 2012 update: Be careful if wiring this to activate with the A/C compressor (as suggested). Compressors on older R-12 systems (pre-1994) that have been converted to R-134a run constantly, which means this fan will too. It's not meant for that, and isn't even necessary when driving on the highway. I had one blow the 25-amp fan fuse after 5 hours at high speed in hot weather, and the car quickly overheated at lower speeds and could easily have warped the heads/blown the gaskets. Unfortunately, the person driving the car at the time didn't even know what a fuse is. If you choose to wire it as such, make sure to keep at least 1 spare fuse clearly labeled (type varies by control) and that the location of the fuse holder is well documented. I put a sticker inside the main fuse box and in the owner's manual.
