The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters: Grades 1 & 2: An Unofficial Workbook

Very happy with this workbook. I have all kinds of worksheets and other books for my son, but he fights with me about all of them. This one he doesn't mind because of the Minecraft theme, and there are a few puzzles in the middle that he can have some fun with. It has classic 1st/2nd grade addition and subtraction, money, telling time, counting with groups, counting by even numbers, and I'm sure more but I haven't looked at every page. I love the reading comprehension section and vowel sounds section. My only complaint is that yes, he could use the writing practice, but I don't think there should be 4 pages dedicated to the upper case and lower case of each letter. 2 pages total would be sufficient, and the extra pages that would leave could be more reading and letter sound work. Otherwise, this is a great book with thick, colorful pages and interesting activities.

This is a pretty big activity book. My son loves everything Minecraft and I figured he could work on math, reading and language arts with Minecraft. Would definitely recommend if you have a Minecraft fan.

Kept my son entertained and engaged in school activities over the summer makes it more fun definitely worth it.

I love the concept, but I feel that the grade level is off. A 1st grader isn't practicing writing his alphabet, which is what nearly half of this book covers. Luckily, I have a four year old who can put them to good use. Most of this book is Kindergarten level, with only about 20-30 pages of 1st and 2nd grade material.I'll continue to buy these because my son is happy to do minecraft homework, but 1-2 grades above my child's level.

This book with the summer learning for Minecrafters grades 1-2 are just perfect for my family! The handwriting section is a little lame, but I had my child come up with Minecraft words for each letter so it became a bit of a spelling game too. The rest of the book is amazing and requires no parental creativity. I've used this for 2 children so far and both loved it.I'd really love it if they made more levels! I need a 5th & 6th grade one soon, and a Prek & K level would be awesome! So, official request: please make The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters grades Prek & K, 5 & 6, and 7 & 8. I need these books!

My son hates work but this is helping get it done

I am giving this book a 5 star because this book has all the Addition and Subtraction math problems.The the first book I bought for my son was the Adding and Subtracting book and my son loves it! He needs the extra practice in math and this is the only math book I found that he will do more pages than I ask for him to do. Realizing he loves the book I searched to see what else there is for him to work through, since he will finish this book in less than two weeks. I purchased the Great big Book of Math in this series and the Great big Fun workbook for Minecrafters 1 &2 grades. To my disappointment all/most of the math problems are the same for Addition and Subtraction. Had I know that I would have only bought The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters 1&2 grade and The Great Big Fun Workbook for Minecrafters 3 & 4 grade, then I would have had all the math problems I believe. My son needs the practice, so I am not going to return them, at this point. But it’s frustrating to me that I spent the money on these different books and they have the same problems. If there was a note in the description I guess I missed it.I love the concept of these books, I love that my child enjoys them. I just wish each book had different problems in them. That is why I couldn’t give it a 5 star.

My 7 year old boy loves this book he is being working on it on his own. 🙌 i wish I could find a minecraft phonics one

My 6 year old is transitioning from Kindie to Grade 1 over the summer and I wanted a Workbook to continue the skills he worked on over the school year, but something fun and engaging. He's totally locked in to Minecraft and plays co-op with my husband for abit each night. This is THE greatest collaboration blending his interests and core learning concepts with great pictures, an easy format and scaling pattern. I wish more companies would click in and gamify learning in this way! He spent weeks misunderstanding Long and Short vowels and over the last hour, because of words like Enderman and creeper, it finally clicked!I love this book and highly recommend it for early learning, advanced JK, SK and Grade 1 learners.

My son has loved this book which has kept him occupied for many hours and encouraged him to practice his writing too!

Estoy muy feliz con mi compra de este libro. Me sorprendió que grande es, son tres libros en uno. Las actividades son buenos para 1-2 de primaria. Mi hijo no le gusta estudiar ni hacer tarea, pero encantó este libro. Cada rato pide hacer más actividades porque son de la tema de Minecraft.

If you buy this book dont buy the reading success for minecrafters grades 1-2 book.... that book is in this book... ...
