If You Made a Million

We had a community event in the area we were teaching 3 rd grade classes about banks ! This book is great for not only teaching about money it is also a great skill for multiplication! Great Book !!

The book is great, it only we lived in the US. It teaches many different money principles, however, a lot of the book explains about pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollar bills which is useless to me.

I bought this for my grandson, having remembered reading it A LOT to my youngest child (still nearly 2 decades ago) -- the book is as engaging as I remembered. It's just a tiny bit dated in that it talks about how checks works and doesn't touch on electronic forms of payment that are common today (since they, of course, didn't exist when the book was written) but that's hardly a deal-killer. The silly, absurd "jobs" that are noted (as ways to earn money -- e.g., babysitting for a giant's baby) provide a funny and attention-grabbing gimmick that makes what could be a boring topic engaging.

Great way to teach your kids on how to count & see & understand the difference in $. I used it also to prepare them for kindergarten as well as life. It's never too early to teach the importance of saving & investing.

My 7-year daughter asks for this book by name now ... she's learning about saving, investing and debt in a fun way.

I will add this to my 7th grade math collection. I incorporate books that include topics taught in my math class. Even though the reading level is low, my lower readers will choose this rather than a reader in their English class. Some don't really see it as reading because they are attracted to the math story.

Great book for young and old alike

水彩とペン画で描かれたとても美しい本です。キンダーの終わりにやたら“'infinity”を連発する時期や小学校に入学した後のなんでもかんでも「無量大数！」っと言う時期に。三部作ですがこの本が一番気に入ったようです。Brain QuestやBig WorkbookのG2の“Money and Time"あたりの項目と内容がつながります（5進法や60進法の習得時、G3で学ぶ小数点よりは前段階）。金利の話があるのでどらえもんの社会ワールド「お金のひみつ」あたりを一緒に転がしておくとよいかもしれません。
