These terminal blocks are the true cage-type yolk clamp. When you unscrew it, the clamp completely releases the wire. The cage opens and closes (clamps) in a linear direction.This design is superior to other, cheaper terminals where the screw bends a tab down onto the wire when tightened. When the screw is backed off, the metal tab remains bent down on the wire. This would be fine if you only insert a wire one time and leave it there forever. However, if you are like me and need to move wires and reuse the terminal again, you need a small screwdriver or a pick to bend the tab back up to open the terminal up and make clearance for the new wire. This is especially true of stranded wire. The strands do not have the stiffness to push the tab up, and the strands feather out and cause poor connection, or short the strands to adjacent terminals, and is extremely annoying.Save yourself the headache and use these terminals instead. Sure, they may be a little more expensive, but these can be reused again and again, without fooling with the bent metal tab of lesser quality terminals.

It has a very poor connection to a breadboard and other small chips. I have to physically put pressure on the block just so the breadboard can actually have a connection to the block and whatever is connected to it.

Overall, these are great quality. Although it is in the description, I do wish they would have offered this as a set of severy 2 terminal blocks (which can be stacked together) to make any even number of terminals desired. As this comes, the terminals cannot be seperated and the longer ones are not really useful to me. You get only 1 of each size.

Not a biggy,,, the board must not be included.The board is so prominent in the photo, and I needed one, I thought it was part of the order.Everything else is good, Now I have to order a solder board, wasting time.Hope this helps someone who may think a project board is included... Its Not!

The screw clamp works well. The leads are designed for through-hole solder prototype boards. The leads are not long enough to achieve good mechanical contact with a solderless prototype board.

I liked the sizes and made a nice clean connection to my PC boards.
