Great Dog Trimmer
I have three dogs, Two curly thick hair, this cutter went right through with ease. What would take me three hours of wrestling was done in 90 minutes, the dogs even let me cut their beards and eyebrows.Really like the extra razor which makes it worth the extra $20 over National brand cutters.Quiet, light weight, quality. If there is any drawback it is the power button you have to get use to its placement on the handle, it is easy to turn off.Otherwise Very happy with purchase.EDIT 12/14/1812/08/18 I went to use the razor and it would not turn on, something was wrong with the on/off switch.I inquired about replacement parts, and KOMONDOR sent me a brand new RW5501 complete clipper kit. This day and age you don't really see that type of service. I had a complete clipper replacement kit in 5 days. Totally unexpected. KOMONDOR told me to keep the existing clipper, so now I have spare parts.Great Razor, Great Company! Thanks KOMONDOR !

Amazing Product!
We have a siberian cat, with a very thick coat and he had a ton of mats, this works perfectly! It was smooth as can be and we had to shave his entire belly and it was smooth as butter! :)

Broke after first use the screws came out. Horrible!
I used them one time on a Yorkipoo and lost 2 screws within 1 haircut. I found one but other tiny screw can't find. Cut smooth but for price it should stay together! Not happy have been buying Clippers for years first that broke on first clipping. Reason 1 stars is cause it did clip or it would be a one. Update: Every time I use these the screws fall out in middle of clip! You literally have to hold on to clipping blade and handle to try to make it through a grooming session! Worst pair I have ever owned. Will not buy again from this company! Don't waste your money!

*UPDATE....great customer service!
I was SO happy with this when I first got it...worked like a charm and was super quiet. I finished my lab mix in no time and it cut well. I used the Kool Lube on it. I took it out today to work on the cat...it started up fine but as soon as it hit the fur it backed off four gears and was barely moving. The cat was freshly bathed and DRY...the clippers were sprayed...no reason it should have pooped out like that. So disappointed. I really liked them too...not worth doing only one shave though...not worth the risk...pass! UPDATE: even though my first set was past the "warranty" period...well past actually...I sent an email to the manufacturer explaining that I loved the clippers and enjoyed using them and was disappointed that they pooped out on me. They said customer service was important to them and sent me a brand new pair! The new pair just shaved down two small dogs and an angry cat...pandemic haircuts aren't pretty but very necessary! So all in all...I AM happy with the clippers and service. The first pair may have had issues but they made good on it and that counts for a lot with me!

All and all its a good set of clippers.
These clippers are great. They came really fast. Our little Pekingese seem to like them mostly. They don't seem to react like other ones we've had. Without the guard Pekingese barely even notice that they're being clipped. In the past other clippers have tended to leave a type of razor burn that was not from heat. The only thing that I don't like about them, is the fact that the guards are not very nice. They tend to lay down the hair rather than stand up the hair for the clipper to clip it. What I do like though is the fact that the wooden handle does seem to absorb some of the vibration. I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and vibration makes my hand fall asleep, and tingle, and hurt. They seem very durable and it looks like I'll probably pass them for years!

Does the job
I have a poodle/collie rescue and was looking for a way to save on grooming. The recommended clippers were over a hundred dollars for a dog with her thick coat. I decided to give these a try first and am so glad I did. I will say that the blade that came with the clippers used with the provided combs did not do the trick so I use that blade for the really short areas and then purchased a 1/2 inch blade for the longer areas. Both blades glide through her coat like a hot knife through butter. I am so glad I went with this clipper first. I have clipped her twice now and both times it so quick and easy. Worth every cent and has already paid for itself in what those two clips would have cost at the groomers.

Craftsmanship Seems Nice, But Lack of Cutting Power Sank The Ship
I researched dog clippers for months looking for one in that Goldilocks zone -- cuts with ease, not too powerful, heat keeps at a safe level, with a decent discount.I think I actually bought 3 sets, read countless reviews and articles, and solicited personal feedback from anyone who would listen and respond. My conclusion is there really is no middle zone with these. You have either professional quality clippers at a premium price or, well, everything else. It seems the professional clippers start around the $120 mark and, generally speaking, beyond that price point, it's a get-what-you-pay-for market; the higher the quality in durability, ease of use, battery life, and heat generation, for example, the more you're going to pay (again, generally).I thought I'd finally found a sweet spot with these, but...no. I think if the specs were actually accurate and the clippers performed according to what's on paper, they WOULD be great. But, at least the set I got, the specs on paper are a fantasy to its actual performance. The handle and craftsmanship appear to be very nice -- light, easy to hold, not very loud. But the motor and cutting power rendered then useless for me.
