For nearly 10 years now i've been looking for a desktop microphone that I could utilize with my speakers that didn't pickup background music/game noises. I have finally found the solution in this microphone. I was amazed after connecting it and running some recording tests to see the clarity of my speech and how it completely removed the background music. I have the microphone setup center between two bookshelf speakers (about a foot and a half on each side of the microphone). Sitting behind a keyboard with the mic head pointed up (about 2 feet from my head). I was able to play my music relatively loud and talk and listeners barely heard the speakers. I am not a big fan of headsets/headphones and am overjoyed to finally find a solution that allows me to participate in voip situations without having to wear one.

After using for several months with Dragon Naturally speaking, I am very happy with the accuracy and fidelity of this device. Overall, great value for money compared to many more pricier devices out there.

I purchased this microphone in December and it stopped working in May. Even though the warranty is one year, when I returned the item, $20 was deducted for a restocking fee. It was defective and no longer worked. Why would there be a restocking fee? A true warranty would give a full refund. There was nothing to be restocked. I was very disappointed since I use this microphone for Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

This mic seems to work just fine and the audio quality is good but be wary of the fine print: if you want to configure it, you need a Windows system. The description and website claim that the software is available for Linux and OS X as well, but this is not the case. It makes me wonder what else about this product is not true! The software's only needed for setup, but a big part of my purchasing this mic was to get the PTT functionality, and that can only be enabled with the software.

It works fine. I just wish the gooseneck were about twice as long. I have it propped on top of a box so I can speak into it without bending over.

For the 1st time my voice recognition software actually recognises me! Essential for anyone using voice recognition software. Build quality fantastic.
