I used this model in my home for over 15 years. The display finally died.This replacement has the priority call feature that I wanted. I will keep it for that reason.Faults:Backlight is very weak - next to uselessThe display has a very thin text font making it difficult to readThe 6V AC power plug going into the back is straight. My original DC plug was right angled for neater wiring.

I have Verizon FiOS phone system. I have a Caller ID device, which works. I bought this device, which does not work. It is extremely frustrating, as this is my second Caller ID bought off Amazon that does not work. I have had to re-use an older Caller ID I found around my house, and one bought off eBay.Something is desperately wrong in the manufacturing ecosystem of China that a well-known technology, like Caller ID, cannot be manufactured new today and simply work. Before you ask questions, yes, I tried all parameters of plugs, outlets, etc. I'm not an idiot.

Purchased to replace a similar device from Southern Bell, it waited until I installed it before the screen froze. Removing it added to the disaster as I ripped the shelf, it was on, off the wall, adding drywall repair to the mix.

The display is a little dim, but that doesn't bother me. This item just works the way I would expect it to.
