A fantastic book about the life of Seattle born guitarist Jimi (James Marshall) Hendrix written by (Seattle) author Gillian Gaar. It gives many details about his early life in Seattle and his pre fame days before leaving for the UK and superstardom. Many cool photos plus a psychedelic velvet cover. A great addition to your library!

The book photos are very good, and the text is ok - a compilation of previously written text. My beef is that the binding was done wrong, so the page sections are out of order. It skips back and forth chronologically, so it's pretty confusing to try and follow it. Messages to the customer service email have been IGNORED, so I assume I am stuck with it. Yeeesh.

This is a big BEAUTIFUL book. Gorgeous flocked touchable cover. Way oustanding!!! Bought as a gift, loved it so much, bought one for myself.

If you love Jimi this is a must.

I didn't know that much about his career. Such a tragic loss.

Love all the rare photos. Great read too. Also well put together history of his beginnings in music. Love the complete concert listings throughout his career too. Nice cover perfect for the coffee table.
