Foldaway Bronco Leather Hat - Item 1060

Just an outstanding hat for hiking. It is light in weight, feels good with a medium size. I have a small head (21.5 Inches) and the Medium is a perfect snug fit. The small would have been too tight. Love the color and its water resistant for the most part. It prevents sweat from running down your face - due to a good sweat band. It can be crushed down for storage and pop back to size with no issues. It holds well when hiking through the wilderness, as it does not flap or move in any strange way. The Bronco blocks the sun completely (50+ UV Protection) (as I hike 7 to 10 hours at a time); never heating up in an uncomfortable way - breathes well and looks good while you're on your expedition. Will be purchasing other colors.

Updated Review:I'm writing an update to the review I wrote almost 10 years ago because this hat is incredible. It's literally been with me through just about everything for almost a decade of my life now. After 9 plus years of being worn daily, beaten up, stuffed into my work bag, thrown around, hiked in, camped in, tossed in the trunk, rained on, beaten up by the florida sun, and tossed in the sand at the beach, it still looks almost as good as it did when I got it new. This hat has taken some serious abuse over the last decade. I clean it about once a year with some saddle soap and tada, it always comes out looking fantastic. If your thinking about buying this hat, stop thinking and do it. It's an incredibly durable hat that can hold up to a decade of daily wear and still look good. The pics were taken right before I wrote this update.Original review from 2013:Got it in my size which is medium and it fit like a glove. Looks great, I get compliments all the time. The only objection I have is that my head does sweat like crazy when Im outdoors in the Florida sun for long periods. but that's not the hats fault, barmah sells cooler hats that are probably better suited for hiking/ fishing in the Florida heat and I will be getting one of those soon. overall its a high quality, sharp looking, every day wear hat that you wont be disappointed with. One suggestion would be to give it a light coat of mink oil if you plan on wearing it in frequent storms like we have here in Florida. The first time I wore it with my rain parka in a downpour, the water did soak through. I rubbed it down with some Kiwi mink oil I got from Walgreens since, and now the rain beads right off the hat and keeps my head bone dry.

(I bougt this hat with my wife's account and am writing the rewiew in her account) I am a hat lover - have been since a kid - and this is an incredibly great hat. It has a rugged look. It has character! If I had the bucks, I'd buy all the colors. The store Barma USA also has fantastic customer service. I was being a gentleman to my wife when we were walking around one of the Minneapolis lakes because the sun was in her eyes. So I offered her the hat. Her head is smaller than mine. Of course a gush of wind came and the hat blew into the lake, which still had ice. The hat was underwater for about 5 minutes. I was serously considering whether to dive into ice cold water to rescue the hat. My wife found a long broken branch and we recued it. Needless to say the brim was pretty wilted after 5 minutes underwater. But interestingly the color stayed the same. Barma USA restored my hat to look almost like new! I told them my story they got a laugh out of it and restored the hat for free! Don't bother getting oil to protect the hat. Based on my experience you won't need it. But I stronly recommend buying the strap in case you get caught in a windy storm. The strap easily fits inside the crown so that you can keep the macho look! Great quality

Best work hat I’ve ever had. Fits perfectly and flexes when bumped against something, so it doesn’t just fall off. Also, the brim is slightly (maybe 1/2”) smaller than other hats for the guys who don’t want to wear a sombrero wanna-be.

Fits a bit large on a 7 1/4 head. It also came in a bag. It does feel very comfortable and the leather feels and looks good. It did come with sizing strips but i wonder if the large would have fit more snug. Great hat over all with good craftmanship. Taking the band off was risky and messy though due to the amount of glue and stitching it has. Recomended.

Normally, I don't write reviews, but this time I was compelled to act otherwise. But, Wow !First of all I must say I am amazed at Amazon how during the Coronavirus times, they are actually able to deliver not only on time, but actually more than a week early. And I do live in Japan. Incredible. Thank you Amazon.Now to the hat. I love hats and have actually quite a few different ones. From baseball caps, to Stetson, Tillie's and in between. I am pretty critical by nature and there is usually something I find that could have been made better.But with this hat Barmah has gotten everything right! It fits like a glove. True to size. That's a fact! And looks, it blows everything else out of the water. Value!? No doubt. I thought when I first saw it online I'll give it a shot, because it was a little higher than others. When I received it, saw it, felt it, smelled it, tried it, I thought how can they do this, for that good of a price ? Especially considering, it is Made in America.I showed it to my wife and then put it on her hat to actually see how it would look like on someone else in person.She is very beautiful and with the hat she just looked spectacular.So, needless to say, I bought two more hats. One for her, in the same color like mine, which is a beautiful natural leather brown. And, another one for myself in another color, olive.There can only be one. ;-)
