Awesome Vibrant Color & Gray Coverage ♥️
I love this product. I’ve been using it for about a year and finally decided to leave a review. It is great, leaving my hair stronger and more vibrant. Although, my hair grows quickly and is 100% gray at 73 years old, I need to color at least every 3 weeks. I only color the roots, using a coloring brush that has a pointed end to separate the hair into thin sections. I would recommend this and I’m giving it 5 Stars !!

Easy!
Used this to dye my wife's hair (don't forget to purchase the developer separately). Color is very easy to use, didn't transfer onto towels or sheets. Very happy, and will be using again.

Looks nice on hair, easy to work with
Im not a skilled hair stylist but working with Wella to dye my mom’s hair was quite easy. You have to buy the developer separately(stick with color tango brand like they mention in the packaging. You never know if the formula for the hair color only works well with the same brand/line. Play it safe), we got the volume 20 one. Both the hair color and developer were in total less than 15 dollars. For a permanent hair color from a brand like Wella, that’s pretty affordable. You do have to really read the instructions and follow through correctly to get the best results. We mixed equal parts of the hair dye and the developer (give or take 21-24 grams of each) and applied it all over her gray hairs. It stayed in for 35 minutes. The final result was a vibrant brown with dimension and gloss. Keep in mind, my mom’s hair is processed and thin. Yet the dye really elevated the look. For anyone that’s never worked with hair dye before, keep in mind this does look orange when it comes out of the tube. However, obviously when you mix it with the developer and let it sit on the hair for the appropriate amount of time, it obviously darkens to the color you’ve chosen.10/10 all the way.

Bye bye store brands!!
Wella brand was recommended to me by a friend whos also a stylist. I was hesitant because 1. I can't buy it in stores near me 2. You have to buy the color cream, the activator and the tools needed to mix and apply it separately. I was worried about the hassle, the cost and if it was really that much better than a store brand. It definitely is!I bought 2 tubes of color cream; a dark red and dark espresso, 1 bottle of activator and 1 starter tools set. All 4 items cost me around $40.You mix only what you need in the bowl, so I did my underside red and my top side brown. I have long hair and still have plenty leftover for touch ups or root coverage. It's been more than month now and I still have good color, no noticeable fade out and no roots showing yet. No greys!!! I dont see my color running down the drain with every wash like some drug store brands. With a store brand I would have needed 2 boxes and I usually pay around $10/box roughly. But I usually see fadeout and roots showing after 30days or so.So, the Wella brand is more expensive but i got better, longer lasting color and with the leftover product my color will last even longer. If you're using this product I would recommend that you also invest in a good quality deep conditioner. Like all dyes it's very damaging and without some repair your hair will feel like straw.

Just Ok
Wella's Dark Brown 4n hair dye is decent overall, but it has its drawbacks. While it initially covers greys well, they start peeking through after about two weeks. I don't have many greys but the ones that I do are face framing. Buying online can be tricky due to color variations, and the 4n shade tends to pull more red than desired. It's easy to apply and doesn't irritate the scalp, making it a quick fix for covering greys, but for long-lasting, precise color without red undertones, other brands or shades may be better.

Dark color, hydrating, nice dying experience!
Product is dark, expect close to black. Infact, it looks basically black but in bright sun you will see the brown tones. I knew this reading reviews and I'm happy with my choice - I have dark Asian hair and it matches my natural color. Also, very thick and hydrating. So great for control and less dripping when dying and also mild on dry hair. Keepsy hair soft and hydrated. I'm never going back to box dye.

Perfect!
I have been using Wella products for over 20 years, but I also have naturally very dark brown almost black hair, this formula is perfect for brunettes. I bought the burgundy and it’s the first time I have seen traces of dark brown or black. Must have!!
