yet another great installment in the sonic universe series. while knuckles is not my favorite sth character this comic still contains the great art, story, dialogue and characters that made the others so amazingthe story takes place when angel island is suddenly anchored to the ground by an unknown enemy and dr. finitevus offers to help knuckles and the chaotix to free angel island and fight back the surge of newly appeared robots. can he be trusted?find out for yourself

I love all things Archie Sonic, but I've always had a soft spot for ol'Rad Red. It's nice to see him get some attention since his comic series got canceled ohh 13 years ago? (I think)Anyways, as usual the writing is superb and the pencils and inking are a wonderful thing for the eyes to behold. 10/10 am reading again.

If you're buying this, chances are you've already read a great deal of the Sonic comic. But if you haven't, then I need to give you a warning.Before the Sonic comic rebooted at issue 252, the series was needlessly complicated ( especially where Knuckles is concerned ). I have a love hate relationship with the old canon, as I really love the characters and the setting, but I hate how complicated the events that lead up to it ended up becoming before the old team of writers got the boot and were replaced with new talent. While a lot of the older comics are complicated or just flat out bad, the new team of writers actually build a story very well with the mess the old writers left behind.Having said that, this particular comic references A LOT of older events. So my suggestion to you is to either grab the Sonic comic Encyclopedia ( I'm not even sure how helpful that would be, I haven't picked it up myself ) or read through as much Sonic the Hedgehog Archives, Sonic Select, and Sonic Saga Series before picking up this book.I have read all of the currently available Sonic Archives, Knuckles Archives, Sonic Select, and Sonic Saga Series, and this story still managed to reference events that have not yet become available in a reprint. ( it doesn't help that Archie Comics has had an obscene amount of delays lately. )Now, say you already have all the available reprints, and don't mind referencing events yet to be reprinted, and casually dropping in characters we've never seen before, it's a very enjoyable Knuckles story that includes lots of familiar faces.

I purchased this for my grandson who has enjoyed sonic for years. He was very pleased to receive this on his birthday.

If you're a big fan of Knuckles and got into his storyline in the comics, then this is for you. Once again the stories and artwork were brought to you by the great team of Amash, Flynn and Yardley. These guys are just great!Knuckles Returns, features a four part story called 'Echoes of the Past', where strange robots attack Angel Island and the Master Emerald; guarded by Vector the Crocodile and Ray the Squirrel. Meanwhile Knuckles, along with Julie Su and Mighty the Armadillo, check out some mysterious ruins which puzzle Knuckles, but soon they come across their old nemesis; Dr. Finitevis who claims that the Dark Egg Legion is after the Master Emerald and have done so by chaining up the floating island, but who is the real mastermind behind this plot? Only by teaming up with the Downunda Freedom Fighters can Knuckles and the Chaotix team find out the truth.Also included is an extra story called 'Honor Bound', where we see a depressed Knuckles look on after the damage he caused by being turned into the demigod; Enerjak (in a different story), but gets some advice from an unexpected source.Also included are a few 'Off Panel' comedy shorts, cover art and character designs and a special foreword by Ian Flynn, who explains about the story arc and the fact that the Downunda Freedom Fighters are his favourite sub-team in the comics, that's awesome! :)Seriously you can't go wrong with this team working on this comic, the story, the artwork, everything is just superb and looks gorgeous. If you're a Sonic or even a Knuckles fan, defenately check this out.
