at least in the store you get to watch them measure
I like the fabric, the color is a little more brownish and earthy than I expected with the pic and the name charcoal. But to be honest, its closer to what I was originally looking for, so I was happy. The wax was a little sticky at first but its drying nicely as my research said it would! I had to cut ~1-2 inches off first side to ensure truly straight edge to start ( I's say this is normal). OH and the shipping was WAY faster than originally quoted and neatly received on a nice cardboard roll to preserve the quality of the waxed fabric! (also way cheaper shipping through amazon than other online fabric stores)PROBLEM .... I did NOT receive a full 6 yards as ordered!!!!!!! (doesn't matter how good the product is if you don't get what you ordered and paid for)I began cutting out my pieces (its a solid, so perfectly back to back) and started getting really worried, it was looking awfully short, awfully fast. I was confused, I double, then triple measured. I thought for sure I must have been wrong with my calculations. So I drew it out on paper to check my math again... nope I was at least 20 inches short of 6 yards.I was extremely lucky that I had ordered extra. I was within cm short of what my measurement needed to be so I will try to make it work. BUT I ordered extra for a reason. Now, I can't make any extra pillows or cording and at $20 a yard I'd say I am owed $10 if not whole new 6 yards as I had originally requested.I don't know if the company will see this review, but I hope they do!... I do not want to return the product but don't know how to communicate to them, through amazon

THIS IS NOT A WAXED CANVAS MATERIAL, ONLY WAXED CANVAS COLOR. MY MISTAKE!
I am giving this fabric 3 stars only to draw attention to the fact that it is NOT waxed canvas. It is waxed canvas color. It is a knit fabric. Perhaps others already knew this, but I was specifically looking for a waxed canvas material. I did not realize what I was ordering. So, for others who may know that this is a knit and that is what they want, then this may be a 5 for you. The company did refund my money with no problem. My only somewhat complaint is that I wrote to them and asked where I had gone wrong in my thinking that this was an actual waxed canvas material and they never responded.

Useable but barely...
Pretty flimsy and thinner than expected, almost transparent. It also has a kind of greasy feel. Good quality waxed canvass feels like suede. On the plus side, it cost a lot less than the heavier luxurious stuff. If it is 9 oz anything it is because of the wax and not the cotton canvas. It will work for what I am doing (Dopp kits) but will have to be interfaced. It is kind of a pennywise and pound foolish order. I'll use it but I won't buy it again.

Not waxed canvas?
I got this fabric in three colors, yellow, red, and burgundy and I sent it all back. I should have read the reviews. Unusable. Super thin, doesn’t hold its shape, doesn’t take the antiquing fold effect. I got so excited to see waxed canvas on prime, but it is not the same.

Good waxing but very thin material
Good wax layer and color but this is very thin material. Canvas is usually a heavier weight material but this is more like a thin weight cotton that’s been waxed. I bought it to make a tool roll for my husbands carving tools but it’s barely heavy enough with some of the sharper tools just tearing or punching through it, even with a double layer.

Very satisfied
I've begun sewing with waxed canvas. My first purchase was from an Etsy vendor. Very unhappy and ended up throwing the entire order in the trash. I've purchased from Klum House and Stonemountain Fabrics, both carry quality products. Carr Textile is up there with those two vendors, though this product has a less wax and more canvas feel. Nonetheless, I'm satisfied with this product and made a beautiful bag from it. I would purchase again.

Not Sturdy Material
Shipping was fast, but product was disappointingly thin. I wanted to use this to make a canvas bag, but this was not sturdy enough and it had to much stretch. It also feels more like cotton fabric with wax on it. And, the color is nothing like the picture. It's more like candy apple red

Too waxy wax canvas.
I was super excited to receive my order and when it came in I didn’t expect the fabric to feel wet. It was a light weight canvas but it just felt wet. And the box that it came in was wax soaked. Either they used too much wax on the fabric or it isn’t a true canvas fabric. It is easy to sew. But I can’t imagine using for anything you don’t want to absorb the wax. You can see from the picture that the cardboard tube it came wrapped I’m absorbed the wax.
