Worked well for an inexpensive carbon steel die
1 1/2 in 11 1/2 NPT Die: I used this die to clean up the threads and cut a few more threads on an old (1958) tub drain pipe. I was very worried that it was merely carbon steel and not HSS or TiN coated, but it worked quite well, and left beautiful threads. I would cut one more thread, but I do not want to push my luck. It could rate 3 or 4 stars because it is not HSS or TiN coated, but I rate it 5 stars for an inexpensive carbon steel die.
