Balanced 1/8 inch 3.5mm to XLR Male Stereo 3Pin Mic Cable,XLR to TRS Black

I was looking for a cable for my Shure SM58 microphone. The cable that it came with is XLR on both ends. I needed an XLR to 3.5 mm to connect with a Sony camera. I had to look up the info on the Shure mic, to confirm that it is "balanced" and would be a match for this cable. I also sent a message to the seller before buying, and they confirmed this cable would work with a Shure SM58 Mic to a Sony camera. It does indeed work! :) A couple of notes: - I needed to turn up the internal volume on my camera since the Shure mic doesn't have any volume control. - The cable doesn't work with my computer (nor it is advertised that it would work with my computer.) I think possible a Y splitter might make it work, but that's just my guess as a person with little electronics expertise. So that would be a bonus if I could make that work. I only have tested this cable for a day, but it appears well made, so my expectation is that it'll last. Happy I bought it. :)

The purpose is for boosting a mic through the car speakers. The line works but picks up interference from the inverter to power the preamp so badly that it is 100% unusable." "I'm ordering a "balanced" 3.5mm to XLT female cord from another seller on amazon instead." It is true, it is unusable for my purposes but I have since received my balanced line and it is only slightly better which leaves me with the conclusion that I misjudged this cable and that there is just excessive electric noise being made by the power sources for my preamp. So even though the cable isn't workable for me right now, I can't blame the cable. Changed from 1 star to 5 stars.

Buyer beware, there are only 2 conductors in this cable (signal & shield) I was expecting 3 conductors, 2 for signal & 1 for shield. It was wired with the tip & ring on the 1/8" TRS connector shorted together, the XLR had pins 1 & 3 connected to shield & pin 2 connected to signal. I will have to replace the 2 conductor cable with a 3 conductor cable myself. I gave it 3 stars only because the connectors are decent quality & can be re-used. 1 star for the wiring.
