MapexArmory Series Boom Cymbal Stand - Black Plated

I Have used it for 5 shows so far and it’s a very nice stand. It’s what I would call a middle weight stand, it can hold a heavy cymbal but it’s not as heavy to tote as some stands. I actually think it’s a perfect size. I love the different tighteners, with smaller hands I find them much easier to turn and grip. I wish all the tighteners were the different style but I understand they are larger than the old style so maybe it won’t work for all the joints. The legs are very lightly concave to help them fit underneath drums. Wouldn’t be too hard for the black to scratch off if it came in contact with anything sharp, but that is not problem for me. It holds a 20” ride played hard quite well.

Extremely impressed with these stands. Very durable but much lighter than they look. They collapse into a straight stand or extend to a boom. You can place your cymbal at virtually any position. My favorite feature is the adjustable locking tilt feature. The lock is large enough to grasp and make a quick adjustment but if the lock is in the way, pull it out and rotate it to a different position. I've owned many stands but these are my new go to stands.

Super tight design. Strong, heavy and adaptable. This hardware line is a head above the best out there.

My DW kit has black chrome hardware so I changed out all the all the Cymbal, snare and hi hat stands to Mapex with black finish. Really set off the look. The Mapex hardware build is on par with DW 9000 series.

Been playing for decades, purchased a new Gretsch USA kit purchased..Mapex stands and equip. well beyond sturdy, great price and the Black is awesome....

Very nice heavy duty stand with all the options you could ask for. Quality!!

Niceeeeee sturdy hardware

These armory stands are super sturdy and very adjustable. The black coating scratches off somewhat easily when transporting with other stands. Also, the Mapex quick release felts fly off after a couple hard cymbal hits. I replaced them with DW wingnuts.

Mapex is probably best money/value choice

excellent stand, I'm using it with black Mars drum kit, cheaper then those​ which is for Mars and I was not able to find black hardware for Mars kit.

Seems solid enough thus far, and I hit pretty hard. Nice smooth joints; it'd be nice if it had as much articulation as the high-end Pearl ones I've got but for less than half the price I can't really complain! Plus it's jet black, which makes it extra appealing for tryhards like me.
