KERUI Extra Add-On PIR Motion Sensor for DW9 Driveway Alarm Wireless Weatherproof IPV4 Outdoor Black

I've had two of these PIR detectors for about 2 years. Initially one of them failed and I had to return it for replacement which was easy enough and no problems since. What I would say is that the battery life on these things is amazing. I've not changed them yet and they still detect motion and signal to the receiver. I don't normally write reviews but thought this product was worth a write up. The PIR transmitters are a little pricey I guess but the quality seems tip top. Note that I have both transmitters inside a weatherproof cover made from an old plastic milk carton, so they are not directly open to the elements. Two cold winters and a really hot summer in 2022 have not broken them yet!

This item is a backup for a Kerui unit that has been in use for two years.The original has performed excellent service up until recently when it started to generate random untriggered responses at a fast rate. A dismantle revealed a battery compartment with some 2cc of water present and corrosion of the metalwork just beginning. There was no water visible in the malfunctioning sensor compartment but on venrilating, drying it out and reassembling the unit its operation returned to normal. It seems that moisture had affected the sensor operation.I've now sealed the unit's join with tape, and also covered the two back screws! (I'm hoping that the sensor window was not responsible for any moisture ingress). For use of this unit in watery conditions it seems adviseable to do the same.

Easy to install and battery life great.

Keeps giving false detection lm up and down going to the door and garden does not play the tune you have set

Very good product,works well. I have one sensor at front of house and two at the back. They work very well and let me know if any body is entering the drive at the back which is 60 meters from the house or up the path at the front. Sensor range is very good, sensing over 60 meters to house. Only been fitted a week so hope they last as longas the last sensors which was over 16 years.

Good that more units can be added to the main unit. Can become quite expensive if several are needed as you only get one with the main unit.

Nice and easy to pair if you follow the instructions though was a little bit expensive as an add on but nonetheless dose the job
