On the Farm (Magnetic Story & Play Scene) Hardcover – March 1, 2007

I ordered this set and the wild animal set for my two and three year old's. They love them and learn a lot when playing with them. I wouldn't recommend these for a car or airplane but they are good for a home activity. The magnets don't stick down really hard and if the book is tilted they will fall off. I like that they don't stick down hard because my two year old can easily stick and pick up the pieces. I love the convenient case to store the magnets, it opens up easily and stays shut when you put them all away.

The magnetic animals have a very weak magnet such that they are pretty much non-magnetic. I still bought the entire set of books because it keeps my toddler occupied for about an hour. This works great during road trips when he is bored of his iPad movies and games.

This is a simple book but allows creativity and also uses cognitive thinking skills (in the storyline they tell what is happening and the child can put the suggested magnets in place). The magnets are not really strong, but they stick well (don't fall off when you tilt or close the book) and they are easy to manipulate for small hands.

This is a cute product for any parent looking for a quiet task to keep your child busy. My 2 y.o. is absolutely anmoured with this product. The book is whimsical and provides an attached plastic case to house all the magnets. My only complaint is that the magnets are aren't strong and because of this can easily fall off the page. However, my toddler loves this product so much I will probably buy this again.

I like the idea of this product and it keeps my 2 1/2 year old very entertained at church. My two complaints are 1. The magnets are not strong. They are consistently falling off the page. Whenever we turn a page to put something on another face the face parts of the first page slide off. It makes it so you can only do one face at a time. 2. The container that holds all the pieces is not well designed. It opens easily and all the parts fall out. I ended up having to get a plastic bag to hold them all. We have already lost a piece because of this. It is very cute though.

My grandson has a great time playing with these. You can make a different story every time.

I really enjoy this series. It's great for my toddler who is learning new vocabulary every day. This is super cute (but dont ask me why they have got 2 pig magnets when they only needed one and could have included something else more exciting). I do like the set tho and my child uses it and learns from it. I like the animal one best (only have 2), and would love to buy some more from this series (but they are too expensive). The little pieces do get away from you so might want to emphasize clean up and special/supervised use only. My child gets this toy as soon as he wakes up and loves it, and makes up his own stories to entertain himself on it.

I agree with Others who have given a one star rating. It's a very cute book and I love the magnet idea, but the magnets do NOT stick.
