Review: Comfortable Wide Fit Right Out of the Box - 3 MONTH UPDATE: I still recommend this brand, for quality workmanship and being American-made, if nothing else. They are definitely waterproof, surviving several pressure washing adventures and heavy rains. Durability is excellent, with zero problems with seams, upper leather or breakage of boot lace hooks. However, after three months of wear, these boots have become less comfortable for me, personally. The outside of my big toes are very unhappy with the composite toe box and I do need padded socks. My results are personal, so I certainly expect others to have different results. Original Review: Wolverines! After returning a pair of Timberlands, I took a chance on the Wolverine Legends and I couldn’t be happier! I wear a 10.5EEE (feet are almost 12cm wide) and usually just buy whatever is available and wear them until the sides blow out. I got the 10.5EW from Wolverine and my feet are confused by the unfamiliar room! desertcart lists them as “10.5W” but I guess that means “EW” to the Wolverine company. Comfortable fit right out of the box and I’m sure they’ll only become softer and more flexible over time. And they look really good, too. The quality materials and workmanship are immediately obvious to me. These boots are serious working man tools for the feet. The composite toe is hard as steel without setting off metal detectors. It’s not an uncomfortable toe box, either. I doubt I’ll even need those extra padded socks for protection. These claim to be waterproof and durable, so I’ll need to follow up on that. But as of today, I’m sold on this brand. Review: Truly waterproof and well made - I bought these boots at the start of winter, and three months in, I am very happy with them. They were quite stiff at first, especially around the ankle, so I simply didn't lace them all the way up until they were broken in. I wear thick socks but there's still enough room inside without feeling loose, and my feet have never gotten wet even when out in the rain all day. The are tough and well-made, and the soles provide great grip even on wet pavement. A composition toe is my choice for a few reasons: Steel toes get cold, conduct electricity, and set off metal detectors. The comp toe is very tough without these problems. And now that the leather is worked in, they are very comfortable even when I'm on my feet for 10-12 hours and the padding around the ankles is very thick. They are a bit on the pricy side compared to other boots, but I feel like they were worth it. I would like a little more arch support, but that's a personal preference that would not stop me from recommending them.

Truly waterproof and well made

Amazing comfortable work boot
This is an amazing work boot. For one, they look absolutely incredible for a work boot. The only complaint I have is I’ve been wearing wolverines for 8 years it’s the only boots that I will buy and a size 12 is always a perfect fit in all aspects. Except for this particular pair of boots, the toe fits good as well as the sides but the ankle area is where it’s a little loose and kind of slides up and down on the back of my ankle. I think if I may have ordered a size 11.5 it would have been a better fit on that aspect of the size but it may have been too small in the toe and the sides of my feet. But all in all they’re completely waterproof they are so so comfortable they litteraly cradle your whole foot in the most comfortable and relaxing way possible. They took about a day to break In and even before being “broke in” they weren’t the least bit uncomfortable. And the amazing H-Plate design added for stability and endurance on this boot is amazing especially for standing on ladders all day like I do. I would 10/10 recommend this boot to anyone.

Good work boots
Great boots! Comfortable, waterproof, true to size, but not as long-lasting as I would have hoped.

Best boot ever
Great boot, lightweight and tough. This is my second pair of the Legend, the first pair lasted a little over 4 years and only after the side was sliced open with very sharp steel, nothing happened to my foot, I just kept wearing them till it was a gaping hole. I hope that these won't disappoint. Also I usually have to use arch support insoles because of my bad feet but with these I don't, idk why but I know that with these I'm getting my money's worth

A pair of boots that really work for me
I've been wearing Wolverine boots exclusively for probably the last ten years. I've been happy with their shoes, how they wear, and their pricing. So I keep coming back! This is the second pair of this particular model -- the first pair lasted at least two years under moderate-to-sometimes-heavy-duty usage, even maintaining waterproofing until the seams started busting after a couple years of wear. (And I spend a good chunk of my time laboring in various construction and landscaping duties.) Your results may vary depending on how you use and abuse your footwear. But the things I like: 1) The toe! Normally I have difficulty with my big toe rubbing up against the inside of shoes. How I normally deal with this is by getting a size or two larger or opting for a wider version of the shoe. On this particular shoe, however, I can get the proper size dead-on without toe abrasion. I even took the added step of ordering the WIDE version of the shoe, but found not only does it have the same sole, it in fact seemed to be narrower in the toes: the 9.5 was more comfortable for my big toe than the 9.5W! (I returned the 9.5W.) 2) Materials. The composit toe is tough enough to withstand most of the types of things that would endanger your toes, with the elasticity of non-steel and the scuff-resistance of rubber/plastic. Really, the overall synthesis of sueded pigskin along with hard rubber/plastic and nylon, always at least double stitched (and probably glued) -- this is a tough, but comfortable boot. The soles will last longer than the top of the boots; you may even find the laces last the life of the boot (that's been my experience). I love these boots and am seriously considering ordering another pair for 2-3 years time when I'll need another pair.

Well made uncomfortable boots
I wanted to love these boots, but after wearing these 4 months at my job for 50+ hours /weekly I feel compelled to write this review. The boots are very well made & i’m sure they will last a long time but for me at the end of the day my feet hurt. The inserts wore out very fast & soles are not very forgiving when working on hard surfaces such as concrete & metal grated floors. I do like Wolverine boots but cannot recommend these after the amount of time I have spent in them.

Worth every penny
I needed a good quality everyday work boot for the upcoming Summer. I’m on my feet 6-8 hours a day on roof tops, climbing ladders and working in industrial settings. I usually buy boots that cost upwards of 200 dollars..at the minimum. So I gave these boots a try, thinking I could spend the $$$ I save on strippers and lol just kidding. Anyway these things are super comfortable, they aren’t too insulated so my feet’s aren’t all sweaty. Toe is composite so it’s safe but not heavy af. And yes they are much lighter than my previous pair of Keen boots. Did I mention I spent less than half on these! So yes.. buy them, wear them, thank me later. Wolverine u r welcome!
