The instructions are not the best.... a bit confusing.... One sets unit A next to unit B, pressing WPS buttons... then put unit a in area desired for extension. The trick is to connect wifi to the unit B, at location B, with its own password. then the system requires selection to the Main WiFi (your existing system). Then boom, the 4 bars for the wifi pop up on your Portable--- and the whole house enjoys a really powerful signal..... one one occasion when signal dropped, just unplug and replug unit B.

Whoever tried to resale these knew it was defective...so why waste the time trying to repackage it? I've installed dozens of these with no issues, and when they work, they work immediately after both the 5G and the 2.4G lights get in sync. But not these two. They'll sync, then drop, sync then drop...even after a factory reset. Further, I did the initial wireless handshake with the two extenders in the same room...then took the other to it's respective location. Long story short...the QA team is paid to verify these devices, so I don't have to waste my time.

Only problem was I can't connect with the link to set up my own password. I'll try to contact customer support next week. But brought internet to where I needed it for 60% of Frontier's price.

I am currently using the Airi extenders, after one failed, I went to my local Frontier store to replace it, the store had closed and relocated. I ordered the two pack on line and called Frontier for some technical assistance, unfortunately Frontier no longer supports this product.Other than this setback, the extenders have performed well.

Since the firmware has been modified by Frontier, there's not as many options as I would like and as is available on some more expensive Mesh systems. This is only a dual band Mesh. It likes to put my AC laptop on 2.4ghz channel for some odd reason, but my laptop has no problem connecting to the 5ghz channel on the Arris router. I ended up buying another 2 pack so I have 4 in the house and sometimes I have wifi dropout. Again, look into something else... like the Velop or Orbi. Live and learn.... Waiting for the new AX to come out officially and i'll end up replacing all of these.

It is difficult to rate this item. I bought two pair and attempted to hook them up. The first two appeared to be working but the next set comes with a different password. I tried tech support but after three hours and eight techs ( one even told me that the product was not a frontier product) I gave up. A friend looked it up on line. It is working now but if there is ever a problem there is no support period. I talked to some of the most ignorant people.

Confusing to set up, but it works okay.

This product did not work and when I tried to get support from Frontier was on the phone for four hours with no solution. Retuned to seller and charge a 60 dollar restock fee. Very disappointed in the seller and Frontier. DO NOT PURCHASE
