Because Nintendo makes it easy for them to be low-lifes. They did it with the Wii and Amiibos, and they're doing it again. Do yourself a favor, find a Gamerz Tek 8-Bit HD or RetroUSB AVS and pick up a 100-in-1 NES cart instead.

I have original NES over 25 years now. Hooks to new tv just like old tv through coax cable connection. Doesn't cost a "fortune", have to know what you are doing and looking at.
