Quiet and smooth
I should have bought one years ago. I ran many running many cutting boards through this planer . I did'not even need to sand them. It was a little tricky getting it off the pallet and on to the base but the grizzly base made a very easy . My only aggravation was hunting down the recommended gear case oil. The gear box was empty and it took a few few days to locate the oil. Otherwise, I love it!

Awesome
G1021x2 Ready to go out of the box all I had to do was assemble a few things and add oil. I didn’t have to adjust anything. Checked everything and ran the first board, completely smooth and virtually no snipe. Very quiet also, makes working in the shop very enjoyable.

This is not a 15" planer!!!!!
I really have to wonder how Grizzly gets away with advertising this planer as 15" when in fact it is not. Take a look at the fine print in the spec sheet... this 15" planer only planes boards 14 7/8" wide and that is pushing it!!! Other than that it is a good planer... smooth as glass finish out of the box... little or snipe when rollers adjusted properly, and if your not taking too much material. But still... come on guys... why advertise it as a 15"??????

Best planer I ever owned
It is also the least expensive in it's class.I bought this planer 3 weeks ago(demo model) and afterspending about an hour aligning the infeed and outfeedextension tables I planed some Lacewood,Walnut,Oak and Maple, and I was amazed at the quality of this machine. Not only does it do a great job planning wood(smooth as can be) but it is also quieter than planers with non spiralcutter head. It has plenty of power to tackle any joband it is vibration free. I'm very satisfied with this planer and I would highly recommend it to any one who is serious about woodworking.

Where do I even start?
I had mixed reviews about ordering this planer from Grizzly before it even arrived because I have a lot of other pieces of equipment in my shop and this is the one brand that appears to be a really good deal and at the same time really have some terrible reviews about their equipment elsewhere. Only amazing reviews on Grizzlys website but as I suspected...they will not post a negative review on their own equipment. The 1 star Review I posted onto Grizzly does not appear. My pictures do not appear. So take Grizzly's own reviews for what they are....very dishonest. What is the point of reviews if you are only wiling to post the good ones.Back to this piece of equipment. The one thing I read over and over about Grizzly is their equipment comes out of alignments and missing pieces...boy did they live up to their reputation. Mine came with all the bolts to attach the out feed tables but its gets worse. One out feed tables was machine wrong, which can be seen from the pics. The bolt pattern on the bed itself is approx. 11 3/4 and the bolt pattern width on the out feed table was approx. 10 1/4. I highly doubt this was one a one off and a whole series of machines went out faulty to the customer. Zero quality control. But its gets worse. I called Grizzly and they wanted proof. Okay, no problem. I emailed them pictures. Nobody ever called me back. After 5 phone calls and 3 email attempts over three days...not a single person ever made any attempt to resolve the issue. Not a single person at Grizzly reached out to me to see how the problem could be fixed. They had absolutely no problem leaving me with a faulty machine.I sat on the phone playing go around for days. Eventually I called my credit card company and they went to work. Only then did all of a sudden they reached out to me. Not until the payment was stopped did Gizzly lift a single finger to resolve my issue. In fact, they were pretty much jerks on the phone. I had one guy say to me, "Hey, I am just trying to help you out," as if he was doing me a huge favor by even listening to my complain. He did nothing. He did not help me out.Point being, you are 100% taking a chance with Grizzly. Some people have good experiences and many do not. Just note that if you happen to be one of the unlucky ones, as I was, Grizzly could care less about resolving the problem. They have no problem leaving you hanging with a broken machine. And ask yourself this question. What kind of company is willing to manipulate the reviews on its own website? One that is here to make great machines...or one that is here to con you. Look for my review on Grizzly...look for my pictures. They are 100% not there at the time of writing this review and I left it over a week ago. I hope this helps someone in the future.
