Exactly what I was looking for in great variety
Reducing salt in our diet is definitely a challenge. Indian food is about flavor therefore curry and low salt sounds really impossible as salt enhances flavor. The trick is to create flavor and rely on flavor, not saltiness! This is what the book is about! The author teaches how to create wonderful flavors and eat healthy and tasty.I have already cooked and enjoyed Mushroom Matar Masala and Spicy Eggplant Curry! Loved it! The author gives recipes for fantastic Side Dishes (loved Mango Chutney and Sesame Coconut Chutney), desserts (yum yum delicious Mango Halva). Beverages (my favorite Indian Ginger Tea). The author has a lot of good information in the book and covers basic recepies (How to Make Lemon Rice) and beyond. I also enjoyed reading the chapter on health benefits of spices and herbs. This book is very well written with clear and concise contents links.Wonderful addition to my collection of cooking books! This book is a keeper. It offers lots of great recipes. I was impressed by the amount of information and I would recommend this book with great enthusiasm. No Indian mother-in-law needed either. You'll do just fine. Thank you

Let's have a delicious lamb dish with an aromatic paste of poppy seed and ginger
This is a beautiful and great book in every regard. It is well-written, well-structured, interesting and informative, extensive and most of all, it is full with great Indian curry recipes, other recipes and a few pictures. I have lived in India, I have travelled India and I love Indian cooking. When this book was given to me by a friend, it took me less than five minutes to realize that this book was written and produced by someone with passion and love for Indian cooking. The book contains delicious lamb curry recipes such as the Old Delhi Railway Station Curry, a colonial lamb curry using fresh spices and herbs, or Shai Korma, which is also a lamb dish with an aromatic paste of poppy seed and ginger. The book is structured according to Indian regions and furthermore contains chapters about how to make Indian Side Dishes, Beverages, Desserts... It finishes with a chapter about the health benefits of spices, herbs and other ingredients. As I said at the beginning, everything about this book is beautiful and great. I am excited about it and highly recommend it.

Yum
Sometimes less is more, and all I can says is yum! Oh perhaps a quote from Rachael Ray would be more sophisticated, and more appropriate, "Yum-o!" There is no taste or spice that is as amazing as that of curry. There are so many different kinds that convey so many different flavors. When you use great spices you don't need to use salt, because the flavors are so complex that it is not necessary. If you are looking for a low-salt way to manage your life, you should dive into curries and explore what the ancient sages knew, that we have yet to figure out. Also, have you ever wondered why people from India (one of the largest countries in the world) are all thin? Get the secrets of the Himalayas and find out for yourself.

A very healthy low salt alternative to Indian takeaways!
This book is for busy and yet adventurous people like me, who must eat low salt, but love great tasting Indian food. It was easy to achieve authentic results in my own kitchen, with minimum fuss and bother. This book is quickly becoming one of the most well-used, low salt cookery book in our home kitchen.
