It's flimsy plastic, and does not change the timbre of the trumpet like a straight mute should. Spend a little bit more and get a Humes & Berg from your local music shop.....

Super mute for the price.
I bought this for my son because he plays trumpet and needed one for band. I was quite pleased with the quality of the mute despite the low cost. You get what you pay for after all. This works great and looks professional. Awesome purchase. I recommend this product with no reservation.

Horrible product!
Very disapointed, does not do it's job at all! I bought this for my younger sister because she kept begging and the reviews were all good!! I am very very disappointed that it doesnt work and disappointed in false reviews too.
