Update - Pretty darn good for art and stuff
Update 03/2025: This came with 2 protectors but I haven't replaced it once. It has some scratches and normal wear, but it's never enough to be a visual or physical distraction. It still works great and I can see everything like I should. I was expecting to buy more, but apparently not. I'll be looking to get this same screen protector if I ever need another. I purchased this because I didn’t want to spend hell money on a Paperlike, especially after hearing horror stories about it devouring the Apple Pencil 2 tip. I already have a iCarez protector on my 6s so I’m familiar with the application process and what not. It was easy to apply and I’m glad it was because I can keep the second one as a spare for when the first gets too scratched up. I use my iPad for art and digital journaling alongside the typical functions. I really enjoy the way this protector feels when using it with or without my Apple Pencil. It’s not hindersome and it actually feels the same as when I use my Ugee tablet with my computer. I’ve been drawing with graphics tablets for years so having that familiarity is immense. It also looks pretty good to me. You will notice the grain if you’re looking for it, but it’s not that disruptive IMO. The content still looks good to me. I watch Youtube a lot and occasionally watch TV and I have no issues. I do come from old ass TVs and 60 fps nowhere near Mega HD 4K resolution displays though so the iPad in general is a totally new viewing experience for me. If you’re used to super luxurious viewing experiences you may feel differently. Definitely recommend this to my fellow arteests.

Great for Drawing!
I just bought another matte screen protector with a bit of tooth to it and I couldn't get it off of my iPad quick enough. Installation was a terrible process, though I liked the quality of the protector. I then bought this one, seeing most of the negatives were for face recognition. It's something I don't use, so either way, it didn't matter to me. I bought them and I have to say I am overly impressed with the installation process and directions. It came with wet wipes, a nicely sized cleaning cloth, a somewhat flimsy (but useful) squeegee card, and...rubber bands/extra stickers? Being able to rubber band and add the extra stickers helped ensure that I got the protector perfectly attached to the screen and QUICK. I was able to get it on and attached without any dust at all. What a huge difference. As for use: it works quite well with touch and the Apple Pencil. The texture is great and helps not have the Pencil sliding all over the screen while drawing and painting. I do have some issues in Procreate, like the stream of a brush will be interrupted during one continuous line. It wasn't happening before, so I have to assume this is partially due to the screen protector. It isn't a deal-breaking issue, because the pros outweigh the cons. I will say, this protector is not for anyone looking to watch videos or do casual stuff. I'm a freelance illustrator, and this will definitely help my productivity to churn out sketches faster. It feels like drawing on paper without being too toothy and wearing down the nib. I can't recommend these enough, even if just for the quality install process. Face Recognition: I also wanted to mention, facial recognition works just fine. I don't use it, but the product is made with plenty of room (I believe this is the updated version) and it works perfectly, not covering the face cameras.

Well worth it for the price.
It includes two screen protectors and two of everything else to apply it. A squeegee is also included. The directions are for sure confusing but if you use your head anything is possible. The protector does not show fingersprints but it does slightly smudge. It only takes a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth to clean it. The protector does create a noisy image but it is a trade-off that you have to consider. As a college student, I use my Ipad primarily for notes and not so much for entertainment purposes so it does not matter to me. It is well worth it because it feels way better than writing on glass. My handwriting is bad but writing on glass made it that much worse. This screen protector adds grip and provides grip while using the Apple Pencil. When drawing on the screen lightly it sounds like a pencil on paper. You can't beat the price though, even if you're unsure. I was deciding whether to buy this product or the "PaperLike" Screen protector but I was reading how the shipment takes 3 weeks because it comes from Germany and how it wasn't that much different than other matte screen protectors, plus it is $30. I wish the protector didn't make white images as noisy and that the instructions were clearer but for this price, it works better than I ever thought. I probably won't buy a more expensive option as this fits my needs. When installing the screen protector make sure that "step 1" sticker on the protector itself is touching the iPad screen and then apply the hinge stickers. Since the protector comes sandwiched in between two protective layers make sure when removing the "step 2" sticker to not literally remove the sticker but also the protective layer that it is attached to the sticker.

iCarez hit it out of the park with this one.
I love it! Super easy install even if screen protector installs give you sick anxiety like they do for me if you’re a bit obsessive and hate when they’re uneven / bubbled. Pros: *Two screen protectors included *Super easy install. You use the included rubber bands to secure the screen protector in place, then stickers around them to form a hinge. You remove the protective adhesive to stick it to the screen, then add another sticker to secure the protector, then remove another protective film covering the actual matte screen protector. *PERFECT idiot proof install with straight edges, and no bubbles. *Exact matte finish I was looking for. Feels so good on the fingers. *EXTREMELY fingerprint / oil resistant. This might be the best part of all. EVERYONE THAT SELLS SCREEN PROTECTORS SAYS FINGERPRINT RESISTANT. THEY LIE. THIS ACTUALLY IS. * Touch is very responsive. No errors yet.. *Face ID cutout is perfect Cons: *The wonderful HD clarity is gone. It’s still great, good enough, but for people that are all about screen clarity... This one isn’t for you. - The screen appears to be be wet, showing rainbow multi color grain distortion. It’s fine for me and likely unavoidable if you want a matte finish / thick paper feel to your screen. *Likely not enough protection against drops. I’m careful with my stuff and don’t expect to drop it, but if you do...This likely won’t be enough to save your screen. Thoroughly impressed for the price. If you want a matte finish, easy and reliable install, and good enough protection..This might be your match. I will be giving iCarez all my screen protector business going forward. Really impressed with everything about this product.

Stellar Application Process - zero bubbles, dust, with ease
As I have gotten older glare from shiny Apple screens has bothered my eyes. Historically for me, screen protectors make it harder to read because they always have bubbles and dust and diminish the clarity and beauty of the screen. The application process for this screen protector is truly impressive and very well thought out. I have zero bubbles or dust particles under the screen protector because of the application process this product employs. Essentially, a protective film remains upon the protector until literally just before it is applied to the screen itself and the application process removes the need to touch the protector as it is applied. The process also guarantees the protector is aligned perfectly as it goes down and has instruction on how to remove any incidental bubbles that are present. There is no glare now. No bubbles, no dust. I use an Apple Pencil and have no issue drawing or writing. Oils from my finger are much less noticeable. I've been so pleased with how much more relaxed my eyes are while reading with this protector that I've begun to wonder why Apple doesn't make the iPad screens with the matte surface that this protector provides. About the Uploaded Image -------------------------------- I included a picture where I positioned a reflection of an overhead light just over the word "News+" in the Apple News app open on the screen. That light glare previously prevented me from being able to read easily. With the protector now on the screen, you may not have noticed the glare had I not pointed it out. It doesn't affect my reading now. Unfortunately I don't have a before photo, but if you have a shiny Apple screen you know how bad a direct light reflection can make a reading experience. This protector solves that problem with ease.

Just what I needed!
Great screen protector for the money. Yes there is some slight distortion because of the nature of the texture, but for most of what I do and normal iPad use it's barely noticeable. When using Procreate with it I do zoom in to make sure the slight distortion doesn't affect my drawings, but for the most part it is not an issue. The addition of less glare for the iPad display is greatly appreciated in all environments, except in the sun. Drawing on the surface is pleasing and has actually helped with my line work in Procreate to become smoother and more consistent. The protector does not interfere with any touch sensitivity or pencil recognition. On installation: clean the screen, clean the screen, clean the screen. Take your time and use the stickers to pull out the small bits that may get between the glass and the sticky sheet. If you line it up right and see any bits underneath you can gently lift the protector up in the area you need, use the sticker on the sticky sheet side to pull the bits off and retest the area. Just take your time. Mine has no bubbles, but it did take a good fifteen minutes to ensure no bits were between the glass and sheet. Surface is holding up really well after at least 30 hours of drawing. When it gets smudgy use a microfiber cloth with a little alcohol to wipe it down gently and you're good to go.

Very happy with this purchase!
I've been using my iPad Pro (2021 11inch) with this screen protector for about a month now. It makes writing and drawing with the Apple Pencil feel very fluid and natural. Installation was simple, but it did take 2 tries for me to get it right. That may just be me being a perfectionist, though. The screen protector is slightly smaller than the iPad screen and I wanted to make sure it was centered as much as I could. The stickers to remove dust work perfectly. I have zero bubbles or dust trapped under the protector (and I live in a house with a long haired cat and German Shepherd who both are shedding like crazy right now). Not only does it make using the Apple Pencil feel more natural, it also does a great job of minimizing the amount of fingerprints on the screen. It doesn't keep all of them off, but they are barely visible and a quick swipe with a microfiber cloth (or your sleeve lol) will remove them completely. As far as anti-glare is concerned, I feel like this does a decent job. It dissipates the light that shines on it so that there aren't any blindingly bright spots, but there is still a tiny bit of a glare depending on the situation. I noticed the glare the most when I'm sitting on my couch which has a northern facing window behind it. I see the glare, and it makes dark shows slightly harder to watch, but I can still see everything on the screen. The glare with this screen protector is much more tolerable than it would be on the bare screen. Also, after watching a lot of reviews on matte screen protectors, I was very weary about the screen protector wearing down and having residual pencil marks left on it. I have done a lot of note taking and drawing this past month and have not seen even a hint of wear from Apple Pencil use. It looks just as good as the day I installed it. So, I'm very pleased with that. The image I shared is how it currently looks. I didn't even wipe it down first. I just picked it up and snapped the picture. All in all, I really enjoy this screen protector. It is definitely worth the money. It's probably one of the best matte screen protectors on the market. (Yes, even better than Paperlike)

Couldn’t be more thrilled with my purchase! HIGHLY recommend!!
This is the best screen protector I’ve ever bought for a lot of reasons but two specifically. 1) I have not ever seen a system for installing a screen protector that is absolutely fool proof. Until now. They include stickers to stick to the screen once you have it lined up on the product the way you want it, then you pull it back, clean screen get everything off peel off the first side that attaches to the screen, pull the tab you’ve affixed to the top (opposite from the other ones you put on to keep it lined up) I was able to pull it up and fix air bubbles then removed the protective shield and it’s perfect.. no bubbles or anything! The instructions were clear, not over done, to the point and pretty self explanatory. 2) and probably my absolute favorite part about it is that it is NOT tempered glass!! I do NOT like the glass protectors. I know I’m in the minority on that front my husband is all about the glass, I am not. So finding such an amazing protector, that’s super affordable and NOT glass... perfect for me! 3) it’s Matte, using the 2nd generation pencil on it is amazing, feels like righting on very expensive paper.. and I haven’t noticed any changes in screen responsiveness. So if you don’t like glass this the perfect option for you. If you aren’t great at applying these without them ending up crooked and filled with bubbles this is DEFINITELY the protector for you!! Oh and it comes with 2 protectors!! It arrived quickly, the packaging is nice and allows you to keep it for storing the other protector.
