cost vrs quality
Considering the price I was quoted to have one of these installed, I saved approx $300+ by doing it myself. It was easy to intall with the right tools.................and seems to be working good.

UV light
Purchased for use in a beach home a lot of moisture in the basement; where the air handler is located, with in two days of the unit operating the mold and bacteria odor all but disappeared. Also the unit was very easy to install above the a coil

Great addition to an Heating Cooling System
I've ordered this before and was so pleased with the quick delivery and build quality so I ordered another as a gift. It installs easily although you will need a hole saw.

WOW
Easy to install and work great. The air just smells fresher and our allergy symptoms have all but gone. I'm going to buy another to place above the indoor condenser coil as well as the one I placed into the return air duct.

2 of 4 burned up in less than two years! All 4 show overheating / melted case.
2 of 4 burned up in less than two years!Bought 4 of these and installed them in January of 2014. Replaced the bulbs per manufacture recommendation one year later, January 2015. Fast forward to January 2016, time to replace the bulbs again. I found two of the four units non-functional. All 4 have melted bubbles in the plastic case indicating overheating. At $100 a piece they should last more than 2 years. And overheating to the extent of melting the plastic is scary. It's not like they are easy to see in the attic, if one when up in flames you wouldn't find out until your house is on fire.Edited 1/15/2015: Thought I would add some pictures. Note on the picture with the circuit board that dark discoloration at the top right showing components are overheating and the two blown glass fuses at the bottom. Also note on the picture of the bulb mount you can see their own plastic case is too cheap / wrong kind to resist UV, as a result there is significant UV burn and degradation.
