Incredible version of Sideswipe; sets the bar for Deluxe (mid-level) Transformer toys
I haven't purchased many Transformers lately, so I may not be able to provide valuable comparative feedback, but I'll give my $.02 anyway. Sideswipe has always been my favorite Transformer. Sure, fans ask, "What did he ever do?" My response is, "He's a Lamborghini with a sweet robot mode and an attitude - what more do you want?" Aside from the figure needing an extra weapon or two (he should really have a large blaster like his G1 counterpart and the two weapons he comes with should stay on his shoulder) and wishing for rubber tires, this is an unbelievably awesome Transformers toy. The build is simply solid - super high quality. You also couldn't ask for better sculpts for this price point - the attention to detail and homages to the G1 toy are outstanding. The posability is incredible - the joints are super tight and seem as though they will hold up much better than ball joints. Maybe I'm just out of the loop and figures have been this good for a while, but compared to the G1 products and cheap hunks of plastic that transform in one or two steps, this Sideswipe is the new standard by which all mid-level transforming robot figures should be measured. Granted, it's no Masterpiece toy, but it's a quarter the price and not a car from 1985. I love the idea of keeping the robot figures more-or-less the same, with an updated alt mode. Do this with a full-on Cybertronian vehicle and I'll buy another - immediately. Note I purchased Sixgun to get a few extra weapons and recommend this for other fans. My Sideswipe now has a jetpack a la G1 continuity and upper-arm mounted laser rifles similar to the seekers. I really like the weaponizer options for this line. So, if you're a G1 fan at all, or even just an enjoyer of cool transforming robots, get this figure. Sideswipe won't disappoint. If you're a Sideswipe fan and you haven't picked up this toy yet, do yourself a favor and stop reading comments and order it. Now. Seriously.

Robot mode is fantastic, vehicle mode is stunning, and the transformation is great!
If you are buying this for a kid, the toy looks very cool in robot mode, very sleek/convinving in vehicle mode, and overall is one of the better deluxe class figures in the entire Generations toyline For collectors: This entire Siege line is great! Sideswipe looks amazing on my shelf! The sleekness of his vehicle mode bleeds into the robot mode, and it is beautiful. The white on the figure is an off white, but it really doesn't take away from the overall look. His head/face feels a smigen to low, but since he is so easy to dynamically pose, you never even notice it. ( This guy has ankle pivot and waist swivel, I mean come on!!!!) The "battle damage" paint applications are only on his shins, his feet and a tad on the waistline. Personally, I think that it adds detail to the figure, but I know that some people do not appreciate it. The two weapons he comes with can be combined to rest on either of his shoulders, but the pegs are square, not round. This means that you cannot move the cannon around once it is pegged in. Overall, this figure is great! He is definitely my favorite Deluxe class from any Generations wave of the last 3 years, and a must have (especially if you don't own a Sideswipe!)

Fantastic G1 representation
WFC: Siege Sideswipe is a fantastic figure. The robot mode is a great representation of the classic G1 Sideswipe look from the 1980s Sunbow cartoon, has good proportions, and is well articulated. Even though the car mode is supposed to have a Cybertronian look, it still looks like a normal car and clearly evokes Sideswipe's classic Lamborghini form. Both modes have almost no kibble: The robot mode looks great from all angles; only the hollow parts of the forearms (which the fists fold into) are apparent. The car mode mostly looks great from all angles except from underneath and from the rear where the white knees are partially visible, both of which I consider to be minor. The transformation is straightforward. My only complaints are that the wheels snap in and aren't on axles, so they don't roll smoothly. Also, since the wheels are hard plastic, they tend to skid instead of rolling on smooth surfaces. I also worry that the plastic at the shoulder and ankle hinges might break if the arms and feet aren't rotated carefully.

Sick bot
He’s a good robot, nice maroon color, and is fun to play with. He’s 5.5 inches and is not perfect for his price, which is why he’s 4 stars, not five. He should be 30$, not 70$. Plus moves pretty slow. But I don’t care. He’s nice!!!

So good it may as well be the definitive version.
This new Seige line is incredible and once again, they've produced a Sideswipe so faithful to the G1 counterpart it'll make you think the cartoon has come to life. In vehicle mode it looks like a beautiful sports car. No kibble or clamshells. My GF didn't believe it was a Transformer. The Sideswipe figure, once transformed, looks as good as and is as poseable as the Marvel Legends line in their prime. For a Transformers G1 fan... this a must have. One of the best Transformers I've seen. Vehicle mode and robot mode are perfection.

Great Figure
This is a great figure if you want a G1 Sideswipe figure. The robot and vehicle modes are stunning. It's very easy to transform. Although, I do have a minor gripe with the figure which is that the right leg on my figure is a bit loose but it doesn't at all affect the way I pose it at all. Great figure, would strongly recommend.

What kid doesn't love transformers.
This was a birthday gift for my son's friend. He loved it. I loved Transformers as a child and wish my mom didn't get rid of my Optimus Prime (Original). I wish they would manufacture these like they did originally. The arms and legs detaching makes it very difficult to transform them... Why did they have to reinvent the wheel? I don't think these needs to be as detailed and should just go back to the smooth transforming. My son loves these characters but he gets frustrated when he can't transform them - then I as a grown adult spends 20-30 minutes trying to figure them out myself.... But hey - the kids love this right now - and I really home they continue the TV programs too.

This series of Sideswipe is easy to transform and the paint job is pretty decent. Have added Optimus and Wheeljack since. Preordered Ironhide and Prowl too. :)

Great figure, great character. It fits in with the line or even a classics collection with ease. Very fun figure to play around with, with a super-sleek vehicle mode.

Really good robot mode that's very 1984 cartoon styling but with Cybertronian futuristic car parts in place of his familiar Lamborghini Contach car parts. A really nice car mode that's a futuristic alien car but still has the Lamborghini classic lines & styling so it's a nice balance between the two. If you the Sideswipe character I would recommend this figure as its so good with its classic look but with a new style.

La figura llego bien, y el producto en si esta muy bien. Solo esta el detalle de que la primera vez que intente convertirlo a auto uno de los pies estaba muy duro (sentia que lo iba a romper) pero despues de esa vez ya se aflojo y se mueve normal

So, Sideswipe arrived today. He’s my first Siege action figure and, I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed! The figure is sturdy and feels solid when you move its parts, like it’s meant to be played with and not just left for display. The quality of the sculpt details and excellent paint job makes this a toy very suited for display anyway. The one con is that my model’s wheels aren’t all flush, and so one wheel will often only barely touch the ground when in vehicle mode. You can tell when moving the toy on its wheels. By gently prying the moving parts, I did manage to overcome the issue. However, that issue and the care needed with which to adjust the moving bits to readjust the pieces makes this toy not so great for children weirdly enough unless you get it for a child who can apply force with delicacy with their toys and is patient enough to make the adjustments. I might get one for my god daughter!
