is advisable to watch a YouTube video before beginning this installation, as it can be quite challenging. The trigger shifters function well and offer a superior experience compared to grip shifters. I upgraded my grip shifters to these on a Trek Navigator, and once you understand the installation process, they prove to be a worthwhile investment.

I really like this shifter. I used it to replace my twist shifter that was nice but I find this trigger shifter more precise and more pleasing to use. It’s easier to adjust too since it has detents on the barrel adjuster. One issue that you must be aware of however is that you should NOT try shifting these out of the box before you apply tension on the cable to resist the shifter in the same way your derailleur would. That is because without tension, the cable can get jammed up inside the mechanism and cannot be freed unless you disassemble it ,which can be a dicey procedure unless you are very careful. So just install the shifter and get the cables secured before operating it.

I installed this set on my wifes bike to replace the grip shifters that came stock. These were a great choice and the install was very easy. The new shifters are very accurate and the dual action makes shifting on the fly a breeze.

installed these on my dump trailer, double axils. Drove 800 miles to the job and arrived without one of the mud flaps. I think they were too thin for the application. The mud flap separated at the mounting area. Purchased thicker, heavy duty mud flaps from NAPA and have not had any problems. The product from NAPA was less expensive and higher quality.

You definitely have to have a SRAM rear derailleur. The incompatibility lies in the ratio. I think my Shimano derailleur and most others are a 2:1 and the SRAM is a 1:1. I was able to shift the Shimano with these levers, but it was painfully hard to shift, and each click skipped a gear. I decided to purchase a cheap SRAM X.4 derailleur and the problem was resolved. Everything works perfectly. My front derailleur is Shimano and there have been no problems shifting it. The shifters are pretty much all plastic, but for the money that is okay.

You get what you pay for. Somehow this shifter is worse than the original one the bike came with. It immediately jammed within the first 10 minutes and I had to take it apart and rebuild it. Yes, it works but I wouldn’t recommend

Son artículos devueltos. Al menos el mio. En la caja habían dos palancas. La del cambio de plato todo ok. Pero la del cambio de la rueda el cable estaba enmarañado, como metido en la caja con prisas. Al montarlo, efectivamente el cambio de la rueda no funcionaba. No bajaba las marchas. Como no tenia tiempo de devolverlo lo desmonte, y el problema era que el cable estaba defectuoso. Por suerte tengo conocimientos y pude cambiar el cable, pero esta claro que es un defecto de fabricación. Ahora entiendo porque en la caja ese mando estaba enredado.

nice product, but verry long process for delivery

These are perfect replacement shifters for those horrible twist shift ones that they used to put on all mountain bikes. My daughter wanted me for ages to replace her twist shifters. I couldn't find anything right, until these popped up on my search on Amazon. Having had similar ones on my last mountain bike, ai know that these SRAM trigger shifters are easy to install and simple to operate, requiring very little effort to change gears. These take minutes to replace the old twist shifters; simply undo the locking nut on the cable, undo the old shifter bolts, pull the old cable through and do the reverse with the new cable. Swapped over in a matter of minutes and I now have a significantly happier daughter. Highly recommended.
