Envii Pond Equaliser – Pond pH Buffer Instantly Balances, and Stabilises pH, KH and GH Levels, Pond Ammonia Remover, Works All Year Round Through Winter (1kg)

I've used this product twice now and honestly; couldn't fault it at all. Initially I used it on a brand new pond. 18,000ltrs. I filled the pond, added the Equaliser as instructions stated, and was quickly disappointed that instead of dissolving into the water, it instantly settled on every surface of the pond, liner, pumps, everything. At first I thought it was just a bum product (as I see some others reviews clearly think), but it was only recently that made total sense to me. After initially filling a brand new pond, your water is around 7pH. There's no reason for this product's buffer to dissolve into the water, as the water is not only neutrally balanced but is already full of minerals. In these cases, it'd take months or even a year or so for the product to actually dissolve fully into the water. Only now, 3 years on, and while recovering the pond from a pH crash (down to 6.2pH) does this product really make sense to me. I'm adding 250g a day to my filters as to avoid pH shocking my old fish, and results so far have been great. Very little fallout in the pond, a very light 'milking' of the water for a few hours but this dissipates quickly, and each day my pH is on the rise. I've gone from 6.2, to 6.6, to 6.8. By the 4th day (tomorrow) I'll be out of the danger zone and into neutral territory, with a target of around 7.5pH once a week's worth of treatment is complete. I'm also pairing this pH raise with Seachem Safe to ensure that the ammonia in the pond is correctly detoxified as the pH rises as to not hurt the fish. Envii Pond Equaliser has made short work of increasing the pond's pH safely, and by adding the product when it's actually needed and directly to the filters instead of the pond itself, it's allowed the water pH to rise with great control, without white rings or dusty fallout, and to kick-start my dormant filter bacteria. Once the pond is where it should be, I'll be adding crushed oyster shells which is a cheap and efficient way to keep the water from crashing, along with montmorillonite clay to give the fish the micro nutrients they need, but I'll likely continue to add Envii Equaliser every 3-6 months regardless as needed, to ensure the pond gets everything it needs to. With my recent results, I couldn't give this any higher praise - it's doing a great job.

I was having a lot of problems with murky water, and had tried a lot of the 'pond clear' type products, but they were just not working. I thought the pH etc levels were OK but after using this product those pond clear products all of a sudden started working and cleared the pond nicely. Those pond clear products do say you need the right levels and it has turned out to be the case for me. The only negative for me is that having balanced the pond contents, it did provide good conditions for blanketweed to start to flourish. Although that was sorted out with a different product. So this product does do what it says.

I guess like many others I read review after review about these type of products. My pond is not massive but I try to keep it clean and healthy. Over the past week or so I noticed that there was a white foam appearing on the surface of the pond. I searched the internet and discovered that it was probably due to too many nutrients in the pond, possibly caused by overfeeding and the water content needed balancing. Following more investigation I went for Envii Pond Equaliser. The fish were put on an immediate diet and when the product arrived I followed the instructions to the letter. Now 3 days later the pond is clear - the was a bit of clouding in the water - but that has now gone. I have to admit and this may be of help to others I did initially lift of the foam using a fish net and this may have helped I do not know. However the pond is now nice and clear and the fish have forgiven me for their enforced diet!!! An excellent product, easy to apply and I would recommend.
