Valve Spring Compressor Tool Removal Tool Compatible with Honda Acura B16 B18 H22 VTEC Black

My engine: H22A4. This is a great tool, it got the job done on all 16 valves in my engine. Please don’t be discouraged by the reviews or the fact that the seller has a typo saying to use anti-sneeze. However cheap the product seems, and indeed costs, it works great and I do not see any damage to the tool after using it for my entire cylinder head job.People do not understand that whenever using tools like this, that put a lot of tension on the threads, some kind of oil/grease is a must. Oil won’t do for this tool as it is aluminum. You get what you pay for, but that doesn’t mean the tool is garbage. With aluminum threads I highly recommend using the thicker, anti-seize lubricant. Though the seller spelling it wrong, they specified using this type of lubricant in the product description. I doubt the people who have “destroyed their threads” or have “seen metal shavings” were using any sort of lubricant or grease.All that said, I highly recommend this tool, just make sure you have the engine that the seller specified can be serviced using this tool, via engine code.I am giving 4 stars because it took me a bit to get the threads of the press-bolt started. I had to file it slightly as it seemed rough cut, and some metal burs prevented the threads on the bolt from finding their mate on the aluminum block. However what I did was the equivalent of scraping the tip of the bolt at an angle on the pavement. So no excuse

Item works great but like others say it will leave behind metal shavings. I even tied to use oil on the cap but still the aluminum cap won't hold up. I was able to do the job but until they replace the cap with steel use at your own risk

Didn’t notice it wouldn’t work on B20Z2 engines. However I modified it to by drilling some new holes on the opposite side. Angle of the jack screw that compresses the valve spring is still spot on.

Used it on a B16 head. Had to run to HOMEDEPOT to get 2 screws (m1.25) That would actually hold the device down so I could lower springs. Almost stripped the head... screws that cones with it aren’t long enough.

Works good for the money

Have not used this tool yet but when I need it I hope it works like it’s supposed to.

Fit on my b16 head with no issues

I bought this for a B20 head, didn’t read the VTEC part, so the adapter really didn’t work for me but I ended up just using the silver cage piece and a clamp to depress my valves and it worked fine. I’m sure it’s handy on the correct head. It was way cheaper the options I had for a b20
