Great product
My wife and I did a quick rough assembly in about 10 minutes. Everything fit together easily. We decided that the head board, footboard and mattress frame should each be glued and pinned(air nailer) as 3 separate sets of parts. We took off the footboard first and added glue to all joints and put it back together on the bed set. We then pinned (air nailed) each joint. Next, we did the same with the headboard. Glued it together and put it back on the bed set. We then pinned each joint. Lastly, we did the mattress frame. Glue, then put it back together and pinned all joints except the 4 poles that hold the headboard and footboard. We added a few coats of clear urethane. The next day we brought the 3 pieces into the bedroom and put it together. We predrilled and installed the angle braces with the bed frame on its side. We added a plywood top to the mattress frame and screwed it down to the frame. Very sturdy. Very happy. Would definitely buy again!

Quality
We like the design of the bed, but the product quality of the wood is below standards. You can see in the pictures the cracks aren’t superficial. They’re very deep and go across the holes. And one of them is almost halfway through the wood.

This Bed is as close to the cabin as i can get.
Got my King size log bed and it looks great, concerned with some of the cracks that were in it, some of the pieces looks like its is half way through bottom bed rail and the bottom right corner post. The box arrived with 1 hole in the thick box, and scrapes and a little dented. probably due to it being heavy, and due to shipping it all the way to VA. Not sure if bubble wrap would of helped take some impact or not. It is a very nice bed,I will have to stain it sometime, but for now all is good. It is easy for me to get out of bed, I'm only 5, 4" so for those posting to short, it works fine for me, i have bunnkie twin XL board under my memory foam mattress and it sleeps like heaven. My hubby and i both sleep in here and he even loves it!! Bed gives the western, cabin feel. It was fairly easy to put up, we did have 2 of us which is probably an easier job, i don't think just one person can do by himself. for future shipping and easy of moving, It probably wouldn't be a bad idea since box is heavy to put wheels on one end and a handle of some kind on the other, to get it to the room it is being hoisted to. But over all we like the bed so far and have had it for almost a month now.

Beautiful Log bed. Don't be fooled by the tiny shipping box.
When I ordered this thing, I was expecting a massive box. It was delivered to my receiving location (not my home) and I hooked up the trailer, expecting to pick up something huge... You know... A King sized log bed. When I arrived at the receiving location and the worker picked it up and carried it outside on his shoulder, I was pretty shocked. It was about 100 pounds, but the box itself was only about 12"x12"x8 feet long. I was worried. I thought maybe I was missing some boxes. But sure enough, it was all there. It took 2 of us a little more than an hour to put it together. We didn't realize that it would be unfinished (no varnish) but that doesn't bother me at all. It went together well and we put a 12" memory foam mattress on some slats... No box spring. I'm glad we didn't use a box spring. The whole headboard would have disappeared if we did. The instructions are very basic, so you just have to trust yourself that you're doing it right. In all, it looks beautiful and the price was amazing.

This bed is worth every dollar!
Love this bed. Easy to assemble, very sturdy. Only suggestion I have is to purchase a foundation for your mattress. It does not have a platform or slats. Only 3 cross members.

Ok quality on smaller side
The quality is definitely lower than the other log beds we’ve purchased BUT we were in a time crunch and needed something quick. Wasn’t to difficult to put together. Instructions call for nailing many of the pieces together (other beds we purchased called for a few drops of wood glue). Rather then nailing them together I predrilled and used thin 2 inch wood screws which was not only more secure, I did t have to worry about nail heads or hammer marks. Once assembled the bed was sturdy enough. We had to get a different box spring because the standard box spring and 12 inch mattress were to high, you could not see the foot board or headboards. Purchased a 4 inch metal box spring that made a big difference. Overall pleased with purchase.

Had to make adjustments
The bed is really nice. I assembled it in the shop and then stained and varnished it. When we went to move it into the house, it was too big for the door, so I had to remove the head and foot board, which caused some damage, but easily hidden. Since there is only a few logs going from one side to the other, I added 10 1x4's to be able to set the mattress on, because we don't have a box springs. It is sturdy. Since I have a wood floor, I added felt pads to the bottom of head and foot board legs and the little leg that goes in the middle underneath.

Great bed
Great bed. We put 3 coats of varnish on it and it looks great. Beware, it takes some work to assemble! As for the cracks (technically called checking) just place the good side of the log facing out. Takes a little planning, but you can’t see a single one on our bed.
