I was really happy to hear that Ecodept are selling their products in the UK now. I bought one of their travel towels a couple of years ago in the US for a diving trip and now it is the first thing I put in my luggage whenever I travel! So glad I could finally buy one for my partner.Travel towels are all the same, right? Wrong!I have had towels that don't actually dry you - or worse, cling to your skin which totally creeps me out - not the Ecodept one, which is soft and dries you brilliantly. I have had travel towels that simply refuse to dry out and then get smelly - not the Ecodept one, which dries really quickly, even between dives. On that point remember to rinse out the saltwater as it dries even quicker then.I love the way they are packaged, the handy little bag they come with and the colours - my old one is the orange one but I'm loving the blue one I just bought. Also they are light and compact, so not an issue to carry around in your sports bag, back pack or dive kit.The picture is of my Ecodept towel in the Maldives, it has also been all over Belize and Guatemala, and on numerous camping and festival trips. I think Arthur Dent would approve - after all, a towel about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have!

I love this towel and it's smaller version, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first, I thought it was going to be very coarse and rough...but it's totally the opposite...it's smooth, well made and feels great against your skin and even comes with its own little bag/pouch to store it in. I've used them both a lot since I got them as I tend to go walking alot to try and keep healthy...but in the heat the UK has been having lately I have found myself sweating a lot more than usual and the mini towel has been a godsend, thanks to its label hook and popper I have been able to clip it into my bag and use it and then let it dry in the sun as I continue walking along. The larger towel is great for use on top of a cushion on a chair or a sun lounger in these hot days when you are perspiring like mad. Just make sure you follow the cleaning instructions thoroughly to make sure it maintains its greatness, failure to do so will damage the make up of it.

FunctionIt is super compact, very light and highly absorbent. The material feels like very soft compacted suede despite its thinness.If you are looking for a fluffy towel this is not for you. This actually makes its more difficult to rub dry as you would do with a traditional towel, so I end up pat drying. It still does the job!It has a nice convenient button / stud clip for you to hang it. The simple half net carry bag is a bonus.AestheticsI ordered the desert sand colour which is a really nice bright orange. It has nice detailing of the company logo "embossed" on one corner. The contrasting black stud loop looks good.Customer serviceLast but not least, if you had the patience to read this fairly long review. I ordered this product through ECOdept. Excellent customer service. I had an issue with the product which I told them about on a Saturday. I got an email response in a couple of hours and a replacement product was received on the very next day. Sunday.

Just received my towel yesterday,Was impressed with how nice it is packaged for a "towel", it has its own little carry bag and both towels come with real robust drying hooks to hang them to dry, the small towel is not quite big enough to wrap your hair in, more like a hand towel, but was shocked on how fast drying my hair was just by rubbing hair with the towel.on first use you think on how soft they are they feel like very soft mole skin leather effect, really nice, the real test was in the drying of myself, well you just wrap yourself up in it really and the water just soaks up, it is just drying yourself with a car leather, but feels nice, fantastic if you have sensitive skin etc, the towel didn't take to long to dry eather, which is great if your out and about 10/10 from me 😀Very happy, so pleased I bought them now! will be buying more for the family to try.

Brilliant idea. Large, light weight, highly absorbant towel. Fantastic for travel. Can now take two towels when I go away without worrying about space and weight, so can have the one from a shower drying whilst I take the other swimming. Dries really well, although initially feels strange as different from a terry cotton towel. Great for the kids when they go to the pool at school, less bulky bags to carry all day and not so heavy for them. Additional small towel/face cloth is big enough to wrap and dry long hair. My daughter finds it very useful with her waist length thick hair. Washes and dries easily and quickly. Very useful bag to pack it in. All in all a fantastic Idea. Will be getting more.

I originally bought these towels for future travel, but found them so agreeable with my sensitive skin (I have patches of psoriasis) that I have ended up using them on a daily basis. My cotton towels - even the fluffy ones - have since been cast aside in favour of something that feels akin to silk; does not leave me wincing in pain; dries in next to no time and packs down small.I have found that there is a knack to using these towels - more blotting than rubbing. Using them in this way dries you much quicker than a regular towel.A big thank you to Mark for patiently answering my queries. This gave me the confidence to buy several towels and gradually I intend to replace all of my cotton towels.

I’m still yet to use this product for my backpacking travels in Australia but so far it looks great! Would of loved for it to have a stretchy loop attached to the side of the towel so that you can roll up the towel and easily wrap around instead of a loop you can’t really do anything with apart from hang it up. I’ll post a photo of what I mean. But overall great!
