VOLT 12V Brass Bronze LED Landscape Lighting Kit (8 Spotlights, 4 Path Lights) with 150W Low Voltage Transformer for House, Yard, Outdoor Pathway, Walkway, Garden, Driveway or Patio

This kit is pretty perfect if you want a professional looking install without breaking the bank. I installed everything in the kit with the exception of 1 spotlight. The included components were well chosen, even down to the length of wire (I ended up with maybe 15 feet of extra when I was done). The Junction Hubs work well and I like the idea of not having to bury dozens of silicone wire nuts and wait one to randomly fail in a year or two and have to go digging. Each light has a surprisingly long pigtail wire (15 or 20 feet?) which makes it easy to put the Junction Hub in a central location and hook up your transformer home run to numerous lights.Pulling wire under the sidewalk was harder than the youtube videos implied -- I suspect I was going at a downward angle despite trying to flex the flexible drill bit and came out lower than the hole I dug on the opposite side. Probably drilled 20 holes before finally coming through. But beyond that, the install was very straightforward. Highly recommended.

The lights are great and work beautifully. I was surprised that light bulbs weren’t included. That was disappointing.

Purchased two complete sets: Invested 2K and I am an average middle class woman w/ average home who wanted to stand out in my average neighborhood.I wanted a company that sold quality, sturdy products to landscape professionals that would stand the test of time- if you want cheap- this is not your product.Design options were important. Customer service has always been available. Yes, I personally broke a light bulb and I was sent a free of charge replacement;As far as installation: Depends on how dramatic you desire your lighting to look,and your lay out. Naturally, one needs to pre-plan the layout -like you would a sprinkler system. Spend one day ; then rest on your Laurels.The only negative; The Timer: the second set had a digital timer vs a simple pin tab timer. It requires 2 people to set; One to read the directions- very slowly( with magnifying glass if you are over 35) and the other to set the timer. Way way to many options-and I still can not get the correct day light savings turn on. Cheers

Bought as a complete kit. Instructions were marginal - if I didn't know what I was doing already I would have had a difficult time following them. Volt phone support seems to be a strong point. My kit came packaged with 4 extra path lights on accident (working to get them sent back). No parts were missing. Easy installation. Most difficult part was learning how to mount the transformer on my Arizona home stucco exterior wall (arguably unrelated to the overall product). I broke one stake when pounding it into the ground - but here in Arizona we have very hard ground. Use a rubber mallet, go slow and you will be fine. My only area of concern is the adjust/set screw on the Fat Boy fixture knuckle - I have had two break by means of threads stripping. The first I thought maybe I just overtightened a bit - either the threads on the screw or the receiving socket stripped out. However I had a second strip out and I didn't feel I applied much force at all, certainly not enough to warrant it stripping out. To fix the first I drilled a hole completely through the housing and used my own machine screw / nut to tighten it down (was in a hurry and didn't want to bother with an RMA). However once this happened to a second light I stopped and called / processed an RMA for the second light. I am still in mid process there of getting the light sent in to be evaluated and determine if it will be chalked up to my error or some sort of manufacturing issue. Once this pans out over the next few weeks I'll make an effort to come update the review. This is the only light kit I have ever purchased/installed. I am very happy with the way it looks at night. The price point in my opinion was high - but it was also complete kit and although I didn't end up needing it (for the install) I am under the impression customer service/support is outstanding. These are the underlying reasons I found value in paying the higher price. If more of these set screw threads fail over time that will be a huge knock/negative for the kit. I attached two pictures to the review. One shows my unfortunate solution to the set screw failing, the other shows the original set screw on a fixture that has not failed.

We are very happy with these lights. I can not yet speak to their durability as we just installed them just over a week ago. We switched from 120 volt to these 12 low volt lights and they look nice. The spot lights are placed near trees and light them up and the path lights are placed around our walking path to our front door. So far so good!

It is amazing how complete this kit is. Heavy & high quality. I was skeptical due to the price, but this is one time that you get what you paid for. Just wait 'till you open the box and see the high quality of every item. My yard looks so much better now, and I had an existing set of uplights. What a great security improvement! I have no dark areas anymore. Great product!UPDATE- 6 months later - I wouldn't change a word from my original review, BUT i must add.... I live in South Florida and my pathway light domes turned dull in 6 months. The domes are the finished metal covers or lids. I had to clearcoat them all to protect them. No harsh well water, some good city water. They should have lasted longer than a few moderate months nowhere near the coast. Too bad. LOVE them otherwise.

It worked fine for a month and then one light failed.

Volt products are very good! You can get a better deal through Costco which includes an additional path light, for less money!
