This is a nice little machine. It is fairly powerful but does not do good on thicker clothes.I got this mainly for repairing small rips in clothing. I am terrible with a thread and needle but don't want to spend the money for a machine nor do I have space for a full machine. This works perfect for that.There are no settings for different patterns but that is fine, it works fast. It is a little loud but most sewing machines are.The feeder sometimes does not move the cloth, but as long as you keep pressure on it (don't pull just keep pressure) it works great.If I tried too think of cloth I got a few missed stitches but considering it was several times thicker then the machine was designed for I was really impressed it worked as well as it did.The instructions require several reads to understand but they do cover your questions.

Even when I put in fresh batteries it wouldn’t work because the battery chamber is too big to make a circuit connection. The plug isn’t included and hard to match in household. Don’t make my mistake of buying this. Either get your item altered or buy a real sewing machine

It was cheap so I was not expecting much but I was hoping it would work for my son's boy scout patches, and it totally did not, not strong enough, made loud noises, and even when I tried to help it, it made the batter, literally, explode and batter acid started coming out of the bottom, scary stuff. Maybe I will use it on normal fabric one of these days but not on anything with patches which is what I was hoping to use it on.
