Q: Could you tell me what the measurement is across the chest of the xxl if you lay it flat.

Hi Alan, I brought the XL for my mum not the XXL, though all I can say is that the XL is very roomy all over, in fact a little too big for my size 12 mum! The arms are long and the chest area is sufficient for my mum to wear a coat under! Last bit of advice, the rain mac is creased, but if you iron it on low heat, with a towel on top (very important) then this will solve the problem. I do recommend this item, my mum cannot do without it. Good luck.

Yes, the raincoat has two good sized pockets. The Raincoat is very, very good quality, especially for the price.

Q: Are these raincoats soft smooth pvc or are they embossed eva material.

There is no label but it is quite soft and does not have the crinkling that (p)eva does so I guess it is pvc as it claimed. Smooth on the inner surface and finely embossed on the outer surface giving a translucent appearance. Male (often called unisex) fitting - well the yellow one is - with real pockets and belt. Has had quite a few uses over this wet summer and has survived intact so its quality must be far superior than "festival" varieties. If it is to be used over anything other than the skimpiest of clothing take the precaution of ordering as I did a couple of sizes above your usual European size.
